Job Description

The SQA Engineer will playtest and evaluate mobile games, identifying and documenting defects and gameplay issues. The role involves reporting issues in a bug tracking system, performing regression testing, and conducting tests on various mobile devices (iOS and Android). The engineer will ensure games adhere to quality standards, provide feedback to the development team, create test cases, and participate in all aspects of testing, including sanity/smoke, functional, non-functional, UI, usability, integration, regression, and system testing. Collaboration with team members to resolve issues and optimize gameplay is also a key responsibility.

Must have:

Job Description:

- Playtest and evaluate mobile games to identify and document defects, glitches, and gameplay issues - Accurately report identified issues in our bug tracking system, including detailed steps to reproduce and clear descriptions - Perform regression testing to confirm that reported issues have been resolved and ensure that new updates do not introduce new problems - Conduct tests on various mobile devices (iOS and Android) to ensure games work seamlessly across a range of platforms - Ensure that games adhere to our quality standards, including graphics, sound, performance, and gameplay - Provide constructive feedback to the development team, contributing to game improvements and enhancements - Create comprehensive test cases and test plans for various game scenarios - Initiate new QA ideas and concepts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness - Participate in all aspects of testing, including sanity/smoke, functional, non-functional, UI, usability, integration, regression and system testing - Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and optimize gameplay

Qualifications:

- BS degree in computer science, quality assurance, game development or related fields; or an equivalent combination of education and experience - Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
