Sr. AI Designer - AAA Gaming

Are you a creative mind intrigued by the intersection of game design and artificial intelligence in video games? We're seeking talented Game Designers to join our client's team, where you'll play a pivotal role in crafting AI behaviors and systems that elevate the realism, challenge, and immersion of our games.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate closely with AI Designers and engineers, utilizing both C++ and Unreal Blueprints to develop cutting-edge AI behaviors and systems.
• Create, implement, and maintain AI algorithms within Unreal Engine, covering aspects such as pathfinding, decision-making, and navigation.
• Fine-tune AI systems to enhance efficiency, enabling more complex behaviors and a higher volume of active NPCs.
• Design and implement reactive and adaptive AI systems that dynamically engage players.
• Work hand-in-hand with animation and character teams to seamlessly integrate AI behaviors with character animations and models.
• Optimize AI systems for optimal performance and memory usage, ensuring smooth gameplay and increased NPC activity.
• Identify and address AI-related bugs and unwanted behaviors throughout development and post-release phases.
• Conduct playtests to observe player behaviors and gather insights for enhancing overall player experiences.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency in Unreal Engine development.
• Familiarity with visual scripting.
• Understanding of behavior trees and fundamental principles of video game AI.
• Bonus points for prior experience with multiplayer and networked game AI.
