Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Sr. Business Development Manager for NetSec to drive strategic GTM initiatives and operational excellence. This role involves optimizing processes, enhancing reporting frameworks, leveraging data analytics for continuous improvement, and fostering cross-functional partnerships. The manager will also develop and execute GTM approaches to accelerate revenue and engage with sales teams and partners to support NetSec solutions.

Your Career

We need a person who thrives in a fast and collaborative environment and has a proven track record as a strategic executioner. You will work on a broad set of GTM initiatives ranging from market opportunity, product launch, competitive landscape, and go-to-market planning for our industry-leading products in the Network Security space.

As a Senior Manager, you will drive key NetSec sales initiatives and optimize processes that enhance value for our internal sellers, partners, and distributors. You will oversee operational cadences, monitor the effectiveness of support and sales plays initiatives, and leverage your expertise to ensure operational excellence and contribute directly to our business growth.

Your Impact

Operational Excellence & Strategic Integration: Drive significant efficiency and process optimization across high-velocity business operations

Advanced Reporting & Proactive Analytics: Develop, own, and enhance critical reporting frameworks, including sophisticated dashboards, scorecards, and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) materials. Leverage advanced data analytics and ecosystem business analysis to identify trends, predict outcomes, pinpoint areas for continuous improvement, and proactively address operational gaps.

Continuous Improvement & Field Acceleration: Proactively identify, champion, and implement strategic improvements in operational efficiency and process optimization. Collaborate closely with diverse teams, including operations, IT, and leadership, to drive field acceleration and enhanced business performance through data-driven insights

Cross-Functional Partnership & Influence: Cultivate and maintain strong, trusted partnerships with key stakeholders at all levels across various functions (e.g., Sales, Finance, Product Management & IT) to ensure seamless operational alignment, drive consensus, and achieve desired business outcomes.

Go-To-Market: Develop & Execute GTM approaches to accelerate revenue in strategic markets and partners globally

Executive & Sales Engagement: Executive relationship building, listening, influencing, communication, and facilitation skills. Interlock with the field sales team to develop strong working relationships with Sales Leaders, Channel Partners and System Integrators to support sales strategies for NetSec solutions - Work with sales to align our sales resources and assist in developing and executing sales plays

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • 15+ years experience in Go-To-Market and/or Strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree highly preferred) Or equivalent military experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, self-starter, and ability to quickly identify and resolve inefficiencies across the business.
  • Deep experience working with data & analytics
  • A mission-driven, team player approach with a desire to make an impact and difference.
  • Prior experience in Sales is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills and proven ability to create and manage initiatives across numerous cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and methodologies.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $158,000 - $232,000/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
