About the role:
Enphase Energy currently incorporates a bi-directional storage backup system for homes to provide seamless power transitions. These are interfaced with grid, Micro invertors and Lithium Ion based batteries. These Energy storage systems solutions are for the residential market with international compliance standards.
As a Senior Engineer-Hardware in storage business unit, the candidate will be responsible for sustenance activity of the system controllers. This role requires that the candidate should take complete ownership of Failure analysis, Design validation, Alternate component validation for the Hardware development for the system controller that includes wired and wireless communication.
Hybrid work model and expected to work from office minimum 3 days per week.
What you will do:
- Candidate will be part of owning the product once the product reaches the field.
- Able to handle various stages of the life cycle of a product.
- Prime involvement will be in the activity of Product Engineering of the product that includes Root cause analysis, provide the design fix, Design validation, functional testing, Alternate component analysis and evaluation.
- Support pre-compliance, Reliability and various DVTs of a product life cycle.
- Fair idea about FW algorithms required for embedded systems.
- Interface with PCB design activities, and interface with compliance team to ensure best design practices are followed. Co-ordinate with the team on pre-compliance and final compliance tests.
- Write Engineering Requirement documents, Test Plans and Validation Reports
- Good verbal and written communication, presentation skills
Who you are and what you bring:
- BE/BTech- Electrical or Electronics Engineering a minimum of 6 years’ experience (M.Tech with 5+Years experience) in hardware design testing, verification and validation including Converters (AC-DC, DC-DC), Inverters, SMPS etc. in relevant industries like UPS, energy storage or electric vehicles.
- Good analog and digital design knowledge
- Familiarity with the UL & IEC standards on safety & EMI/EMC – IEC61010, 61000-4, 61326-1 etc .
- Must be familiar with Lab equipment like oscilloscope, Power sources, Electronic Loads etc.
- Familiar with Modelling & simulation tools like LTSpice, Pspice, TiNA, PSIM etc.
