The Sr Manager, Employee Relations will lead the Employee Relations function in the Americas, initially as an individual contributor, expanding to a global role with a team. This role involves tactical execution and strategic oversight, including guiding managers on Performance Improvement Plans, leading training, and developing ER programs. Responsibilities include managing complex ER cases, conducting investigations, consulting on performance and conduct, and partnering with C&T Business Partners to create strategic approaches to talent management and leadership development. The role also focuses on process, policy formulation, and training, ensuring fair treatment and a positive team member experience.
Must have:
  • Lead Employee Relations function in the Americas

  • Advise leaders on performance, conduct, complaints, investigations
  • Manage complex ER cases from intake to resolution
  • Conduct investigations for harassment, discrimination, retaliation, violence
  • Consult as ER subject matter expert on performance and conduct
  • Collaborate on quality performance management documents
  • Partner with C&T BPs on strategic talent and leadership development
  • Produce detailed written responses, reports, notes
  • Maintain accurate case documentation in system
  • Communicate regularly on pending investigations
  • Consult with in-house employment attorneys for compliance
  • Apply independent judgment in workplace concern resolution
  • Develop effective relationships with team members and leaders
  • Identify macro ER trends and influence positive change
  • Provide reports with insights to C&T BPs
  • 10+ years in employee relations and employment law, global scope
  • Exhibit emotional maturity, integrity, and company values
  • Comfortable with tactical to strategic work
  • Strong understanding of Labor Laws within the Americas
  • Collaborative and influential leadership style

  • Experience working in a global tech company highly preferred
  • Global understanding of Labor Laws is a plus

What You'll Do

As part of the Sprinklr Culture and Talent (C&T) organization, the Sr Manager, Employee Relations will lead the Employee Relations function in the Americas. This will initially be an individual contributor role but expand into a global role with a small team. This role requires a balance of tactical execution and strategic oversight, including providing guidance to managers on Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), as well as leading training initiatives, offering direction, and developing employee relations programs. They will provide leaders with guidance in employee matters related to, but not limited to, performance, conduct, team member complaints, and investigations. They will play a critical role in the employee life cycle, many times engaging during stressful or uncomfortable circumstances. They will also be focused on the team member experience by partnering with leaders to provide performance coaching consultation and leadership development. This role will also be involved in process, policy formulation, and training. They will manage complex ER cases from intake to resolution while ensuring that team members are treated fairly and with respect along the way. This is a great opportunity for someone who likes to build and own a very important experience within C&T. This position is remote and can be based anywhere in the US but must be open to working across time zones.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Conducts complex investigations and manages cases for a wide variety of allegations including, but not limited to harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and workplace violence.
  • Manages performance and conduct-related concerns by providing consultation to leaders as the ER subject matter expert.
  • Collaborates with leaders to produce quality performance management documents including corrective action, performance improvement plans, and other coaching documents, as applicable.
  • Partners with C&T Business Partners (C&T BP) and field leaders to create strategic approaches to performance management, talent assessment, leadership development, training, etc.
  • Produces highly detailed written responses and communications for employees and leaders.
  • Produces highly detailed case reports, interview notes, synopses, etc.
  • Maintains accurate documentation and updates cases in the case management system promptly.
  • Communicates regularly with reporting parties, C&T and leadership regarding pending investigations and provides timely investigation reports with supporting documentation.
  • Consults with in-house employment attorneys to ensure compliance and consistent interpretation of relevant laws and regulations and application of company policies and procedures.
  • Applies independent judgment when providing guidance to C&T and leaders in the resolution of workplace concerns.
  • Develops effective relationships with team members, C&T, and leaders to become a trusted partner.
  • Identifies macro trends and themes as it relates to ER concerns and creates, recommends, and influences positive change to solve problems at their core.
  • Provides reports with insights to C&T BPs and field partners (i.e., trends & root cause analysis).
  • Participates in projects led by the ER team as needed.

What Makes You Qualified

  • Requires 10+ years of experience in employee relations and employment law, with a demonstrated global scope and impact
  • Experience working in a global tech company highly preferred
  • You have a unique emotional maturity and integrity and can exhibit our culture and values through your daily behavior and interactions.
  • You are ok with rolling up your sleeves and working from tactical to strategic
  • Strong understanding of Labor Laws within the Americas – global is a plus.
