Project Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining LAN and WAN infrastructures while ensuring optimal performance and security. The engineer will play a key role in decommissioning legacy systems, migrating to modern platforms, and implementing network architectures that support current and future business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot LAN and WAN networks, including associated assemblies and components.
- Assist in the design and implementation of complex network architectures, including LAN/WAN integration, LAN inter-networking, and WAN connectivity.
- Decommission legacy hardware and software systems, ensuring smooth transitions to upgraded technologies.
- Plan and execute hardware and software migrations or upgrades to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Analyze application requirements, developer needs, and technical constraints to provide tailored network solutions.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security across all network environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with organizational objectives.
- Mentor and provide leadership to junior team members, fostering knowledge transfer and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or closely related field.
Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) required.
- Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) or equivalent firewall administration certification required.
Experience:
- 10+ years of progressively responsible and skilled experience in network design, administration, and support.
- 5+ years of experience providing leadership or mentoring to technical teams, with hands-on responsibility for systems and/or network operations.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
- Expertise in firewall administration, security policies, and network hardening.
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to balance technical requirements and business needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical teams, developers, and stakeholders.
