About the role

In this Senior Product Manager role on the Platform team, you will help drive the product vision, strategy, and execution of social and multiplayer services that power our games. You will collaborate closely with our game and community teams to deliver scalable and innovative products that enhance and connect the social and multiplayer experiences across the Fortis ecosystem.

What you’ll achieve

  • You will be a core part of the team that builds the technical foundation of our social and multiplayer products for things like chat, guilds, matchmaking, leaderboards, and other social features, ensuring they meet the needs of our players, game teams, and Fortis ecosystem.
  • You will work cross-functionally with multiple internal customers to guide your products from concept to launch and beyond, bridging the gap between the technical and business worlds.
  • You will own the overall product experience for your areas of responsibility, including the developer experience, documentation, analytics, and onboarding.
  • Craft and deliver clear, concise, and thorough product specifications to cross-functional teams responsible for implementing those systems and tools.
  • Guide your products throughout the execution cycle, from requirements gathering with customers, through launch and iteration, to stable, long-term support.
  • Contribute to product strategy and roadmapping in partnership with engineering and Platform product leadership.

What you’ll need to be successful

  • Extensive product management experience in building social and multiplayer systems within the gaming industry.
  • Previous technical experience is strongly preferred. Should be comfortable delving into a technical product and working with engineers on a deep level.
  • A strong understanding of service products and proven success developing and delivering those products over several releases.
  • The ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps that drive product strategy and prioritization decisions.
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams to understand customer needs and drive consensus on solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to estimate, prioritize, and measure the impact of product additions and improvements, using sound data analysis and A/B testing.
  • Strongly preferred is a demonstrated knowledge of Product/Project Management best practices including practical Agile development. Product Owner or Scrum Master Certification.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
