Sr. Project Manager II

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking to hire a Sr. Project Manager II for a hybrid role based in Carlsbad, California. This is a contract position requiring two days per week onsite.

In this role, you’ll oversee a portfolio of primarily web-based projects for our client, a leading advertising agency. You’ll be responsible for guiding project teams, managing client relationships, facilitating communication across stakeholders, and ensuring successful project delivery. This is a dynamic opportunity to lead complex digital initiatives while supporting client growth and new business development.

Sr. Project Manager II Responsibilities:

• Project management (planning, tracking against time and deliverables, issues/risk management) for a portfolio of projects, mainly web based.
• Reliable communications with internal and client team members, external vendors, or other stakeholders.
• Providing guidance and direction to the team, including expectations for timeline and deliverables.
• Identifying obstacles and problems, and leading the development of solutions.
• Leading and facilitating client meetings, relationships, and status reporting.
• Account management for a portfolio of accounts; provide sales support for new business pitches, RFP, SOW and estimate development, and sales meetings.
• Manage and forecast project time, staffing, status and expense reporting for project teams.

Sr. Project Manager II Qualifications:

• 6+ years in an advanced management role for an agency or consulting firm, managing client or account relationships.
• Experience successfully delivering large and complex digital projects, in a client-facing or consultant role.
• Exceptional time management, facilitation, risk assessment and control, and organizational skills.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.
• Outstanding working knowledge of delivery methodologies (such as Scrum/Agile, traditional waterfall, etc.), change management principles, process improvement strategies, and performance evaluation processes.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
