Addepar is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Investment Data Platform team. This role involves architecting and implementing a next-generation compute platform, addressing complex scalability challenges for Addepar's growth. The ideal candidate is passionate about code quality, performance, and building high-scale systems to support global expansion.

Must Have

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in object-oriented languages such as Java
• Proficiency in at least one cloud-native or messaging technology (e.g., Kubernetes, Istio, containerization, Kafka)
• Proficiency with relational and non-relational datastores
• Proficiency in CI/CD, monitoring, and logging systems
• Architect and implement next-generation compute platform
• Tackle complex scalability challenges
• Care deeply about code quality, performance, and building high-scale systems

The Role

We are currently seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Investment Data Platform team! In this role, you will own the opportunity to architect and implement the next-generation compute platform, tackling complex scalability challenges to meet the demand of Addepar’s exponential growth and global expansion. We are looking for a passionate and self motivating software engineer who cares deeply about code quality, performance, and building high-scale systems.

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.

The current range for this role is $174,000 - $273,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.
