Saviynt is seeking a Staff Accountant – General Ledger to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role supports the month-end close process, prepares journal entries, and assists with account reconciliations. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, knowledgeable in GAAP, and eager to grow in a dynamic SaaS environment. Responsibilities include general ledger maintenance, recording journal entries, and assisting with account accuracy. Key tasks also involve performing monthly reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, supporting month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing financial statements, and providing documentation for audits. Additionally, the role involves contributing to financial analysis, identifying process improvements, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and GAAP.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
- 3+ years accounting experience
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency in accounting software/ERP systems
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Effective communication skills
Good to have:
- Experience in SaaS or technology environment
- NetSuite experience

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING
- The Staff Accountant – General Ledger will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial
- records. This role will support the month-end close process, prepare journal entries, and assist with account
- reconciliations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, well-versed in GAAP, and eager to grow their accounting
- career in a dynamic and fast-paced SaaS environment.
- Key Responsibilities
- General Ledger Maintenance:
- o Record and post journal entries for recurring and ad hoc transactions.
- o Assist in maintaining the accuracy of general ledger accounts.
- o Prepare and update schedules to support account balances.
- Reconciliations:
- o Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
- o Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Month-End Close:
- o Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- o Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
- Financial Reporting:
- o Provide documentation and schedules to support internal and external audits.
- o Contribute to the preparation of financial analysis and reporting packages.
- Process Improvement:
- o Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance processes and improve efficiency.
- o Participate in system implementations and upgrades as needed.
- Compliance:
- o Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and GAAP.
- o Support audit and tax preparation activities as required.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment.
- Knowledge of GAAP and general ledger processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, v-lookups).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
