The Data Engineering team at Easygo Gaming is building a top-tier data platform for in-house products like Stake and Kick, and third-party services. They centralize data, ensuring reliability and scalability to drive smarter business decisions. The team focuses on advanced data tools to help unlock data's full potential, creating impactful outcomes for customers. This role is ideal for someone passionate about tackling large-scale, greenfield solutions and shaping the future of data.
Must have:
  • Architect, design, and optimise scalable ETL pipelines using AWS Glue and Airflow.
  • Lead development of secure, scalable, cost-efficient data infrastructure using AWS and Terraform.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on strategic data initiatives like lakehouse architecture and real-time processing.
  • Enhance observability practices with robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems.
  • Develop and enforce automated data governance strategies, including lineage, access control, masking, and encryption.
  • Architect and optimise data pipelines for Change Data Capture (CDC) and reliability.
  • Drive improvements in engineering best practices, code quality, and system design.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance data platform capabilities.
  • Perform advanced code reviews, mentor engineers, and foster a collaborative culture.

About the team

You’ll be joining the Data Engineering team on an exciting mission to build a top-tier data platform that powers everything we do. We manage data from our in-house products like Stake and Kick, as well as third-party tools and services, centralising it and ensuring it’s reliable, scalable, and ready to drive smarter decisions across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, and optimise scalable ETL pipelines using AWS Glue, orchestrating complex workflows with Airflow and enabling efficient data processing from multiple sources.
  • Lead the development of secure, scalable, and cost-efficient data infrastructure using AWS services and Terraform, ensuring best practices in infrastructure automation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and drive strategic data initiatives, including data lakehouse architecture, real-time data processing, and self service analytics enablement.
  • Own and enhance observability practices, implementing robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to minimise downtime and optimise performance.
  • Develop and enforce automated data governance strategies, including data lineage tracking, access control, masking, and encryption, ensuring compliance with GDPR and industry regulations.
  • Develop and execute automated data governance processes to ensure compliance with data lineage, classification, access control, GDPR, and other regulatory standards. This includes masking, encryption, and policy enforcement to protect sensitive data, especially in regulated markets.
  • Architect and optimise data pipelines for Change Data Capture (CDC), reconciliation workflows, and reliability enhancements.
  • Drive improvements in engineering best practices, including code quality, system design, documentation, and operational efficiency to foster team efficiency and high-quality outcomes with measurable business values.
  • Identify opportunities and implement innovative solutions to enhance data platform capabilities, proactively solving performance bottlenecks and improving data reliability.
  • Perform advanced code reviews, mentor engineers and foster a collaborative, high-performance and collaborative engineering culture.
