The Opportunity:
We are looking for Versatile, curious, and energetic Staff Software Engineer to join the Clearing and Settlement (CAS) Development Team, based in Bangalore, India. We need a highly motivated Software Engineer who is passionate on using modern software engineering and testing principles to deliver robust applications to our global users. We test infrastructure solutions for business-critical high visibility projects. We are looking for an expert in testing sophisticated and complicated business problems and testing applications. Experience in Linux environment, automated testing, CI/CD, full stack software design and development would be best fit. You will be extensively involved in hands-on activities including analyzing business needs and design documents, development of Test Plans, Test Design and Test cases, design walk-throughs, testing, building, and maintaining test tools including automated test solutions for multiple applications on a variety of technology stacks.
Essential Functions:
**We do not expect that any single candidate would fulfill all of these characteristics. For instance, we have exciting team members who are really focused on building scalable systems but didn’t work with payments technology or web applications before joining Visa.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
• 6 to 10 years of work experience or more than 4 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• Experience in SDLC methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Iterative/Incremental, Hybrid)
• 3-4 years comprehensive experience in Mainframe, TSO, MVS JCL, ISPF, File Aid, COBOL, SQL, DB2
• Experience with automation tools, tool development using ISPF, CLIST and REXX.
• Experience in Test Strategy Development, Test Planning, and Test Designing.
• Experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages including C/C++ or Java
• Strong Oral and Written communications skills
• Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well with a team in a high-performance organization
• Knowledge and understanding of Visa s products, Services, and Payment Systems a big plus
• Experience Testing applications on Linux platforms, Microservices on a modern technology stack is a plus.
• Experience in Jenkins, Git, or other source control and CI/CD technologies would be a plus.
