The Strategic Partner Manager at Google's Partnerships Solutions team is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with external partners, developing cross-product strategic initiatives, and driving go-to-market strategies. This role involves managing complex agreements, collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies, and optimizing partnership value. Responsibilities include identifying transformational opportunities, engaging with key partners and industry bodies, and advising business and product teams to enhance Google's partner engagements. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, influencing, and strategic thinking skills, with experience in managing complex partnerships and agreements.
Must have:
  • 7+ years experience in strategy consulting, business development, or corporate strategy
  • C-level executive & cross-functional management experience
  • Partnership/agreement management experience
  • Fluent English & Portuguese communication
  • Develop cross-product strategic partner initiatives
Good to have:
  • Experience managing complex, end-to-end partnerships
  • Experience working autonomously in a dynamic environment
  • Experience influencing leaders and presenting to executives

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in strategy consulting, business development, or corporate strategy.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Portuguese fluently in order to liase with internal stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing complex, end-to-end partnerships.
  • Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
  • Experience influencing leaders and presenting to executives.
  • Experience leading cross-functional strategic projects (e.g., strategic plan, new product launch) from inception to deployment.
  • Experience managing partners and leading complex, multi-stakeholder agreements.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

Within Global Partnerships, our team is comprised of industry experts who engage with external partners and internal teams. As a Strategic Partner Manager on this team, you will cultivate relationships with peers across Google, and drive proactive business strategy and holistic partnership strategies. You will manage key strategic partners across Retail and Commerce, and potentially, relationships with industry bodies. You will also develop cross-Google strategies for these partners and engage externally to manage partner-facing pursuits across Google.

In this role, you will immerse yourself in holistic partner strategies to glean insights on macro industry trends, identify transformational opportunities, and interact externally with key partners and industry bodies. As a thought leader, you will challenge, advise, and support our business and product teams to optimize Google's engagements with these partners.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and evolve external relationships with partners and across the ecosystem, and manage strategic partnerships with entities of all sizes.
  • Develop cross-product area strategic partner initiatives and build go-to-market strategies to meet broader Google goals across rapidly changing industries.
  • Ideate and drive complex agreements with potential partners and renewals/expansions for existing partners and build consensus with internal and external executives.
  • Serve as the relationship manager for our current existing agreements. Help realize and optimize value from these partnerships while building effective long-term relationships.
  • Engage with several internal cross-functional teams across multiple geographies to incubate, launch, improve, and scale new features and user experiences across markets and functional areas.
