Job Description

We are seeking a sharp, driven Category Analyst to join PhonePe in Bangalore. This role involves market intelligence, performance tracking, funnel optimization, and process excellence for a dynamic portfolio of products. The ideal candidate is a proactive hustler with 1-3 years of experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication, ready to build new products and make a tangible impact on millions of users.
Must Have:
  • Conduct in-depth market research on players, pricing, and GTM strategies.
  • Track key performance metrics for new products and marketing campaigns.
  • Analyze data to understand product performance and inform decisions.
  • Monitor live product funnels, identify bottlenecks, and suggest improvements.
  • Create and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for efficiency.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and takes initiative to solve problems.
  • Comfortable with numbers and data; proficient in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Clearly articulate findings and ideas.
  • Break down complex problems and develop creative solutions.
  • Collaborative team player in a lean, flat structure.

The Role

We're looking for a sharp, driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This isn't a role for someone who waits for instructions; we need a hustler who's ready to roll up their sleeves, identify opportunities, and get things done. You'll be working on a dynamic portfolio of products—think everything from travel and device insurance to new, unconventional offerings.

This role is perfect for a recent graduate with 1-3 years of experience.

What You'll Do

  • Market Intelligence: Be our eyes and ears in the market. You'll conduct in-depth research to understand top players, their pricing models, and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies to help us launch winning products.
  • Performance Tracking: Post-launch, you'll be responsible for tracking key performance metrics for new products and marketing campaigns. You'll analyze data to understand what's working and what's not, and use those insights to inform future decisions.
  • Funnel Optimization: You'll constantly monitor the performance of our live products. By analyzing our conversion funnels, you'll identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements to maintain and grow our business numbers.
  • Process Excellence: You'll help us create and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline our processes and ensure we're always working efficiently.

What We're Looking For

  • A "Hustle" Mindset: You're proactive, resourceful, and don't hesitate to take initiative. When you see a problem, you're the first person to jump in and solve it, taking help wherever needed.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: You're comfortable with numbers and data. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets is essential.
  • Excellent Communication: You can clearly articulate your findings and ideas, whether in a detailed report or a quick huddle.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving: You can break down complex problems into smaller, manageable parts and come up with creative solutions.
  • Team Player: You're a collaborative individual who thrives in a lean, flat team structure.

This is an in-office role based at our Head Office.
