Job Description

AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented Structural Inspector in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to join their construction quality assurance team. The role involves ensuring structural integrity and compliance of construction projects by conducting thorough inspections, coordinating with teams, processing requests, maintaining records, and enforcing quality and safety protocols. The inspector will also collaborate on resolving structural issues to ensure project success.
Must have:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of structural elements for compliance.
  • Coordinate daily with other teams to document and verify the quality and quantity of work performed by contractors.
  • Process incoming inspection requests and technical submittals.
  • Maintain accurate records of contractor manpower, equipment, and daily resources.
  • Perform site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
  • Document contractor activities, including personnel, equipment, location, and methods utilized.
  • Monitor and report on materials delivery, implementing site instructions from leadership.
  • Apply and enforce quality control procedures and safety protocols on construction sites.
  • Prepare site measurements and surveying checks as needed.
  • Monitor health and safety compliance of construction works, reporting any violations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve structural issues and ensure project success.
  • Diploma in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years of overall experience in structural inspection.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the Middle East region.
  • Proven experience in construction supervision with a consultancy firm.
  • Strong knowledge of construction standards, specifications, and structural engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting contract documents, detailed drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Thorough understanding of quality control and quality assurance processes in construction.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for structural inspection and reporting.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia.
  • Willingness to work on various construction sites within the Riyadh area.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Job Description

As a key member of our construction quality assurance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity and compliance of various construction projects throughout the Riyadh area.
