The Sales and Operations Planning Manager belongs to the Global S&OP team within the Operations Organization and is key to improving material forecasts from unconstrained demand to supplier forecasts. This role works closely with Global Sales, Procurement, and the Supply Chain Analytic team in a regional setup. Responsibilities include representing Sales and Operations Planning to break down silos, connect data, explore simulations, and develop cross-functional collaboration to drive smarter business decisions, reduce lead times and inventory, improve the 12-month rolling material forecast, lead account review meetings, identify demand changes to drive them through the forecast process, and understand supply constraints to mitigate lead time risks before customer purchase order entry. Supplementary tasks involve managing and optimizing inventory, understanding the entire supply chain planning picture, contributing to strategic concepts, leading continuous improvement projects, and monitoring forecast accuracy.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economic Science, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of work experience in Demand Planning and SCM
  • Experience in project management
  • Good knowledge in MS Excel, Salesforce, and ERP landscapes (SAP or similar)
  • Good command of English and German language

Job Description



Principal Tasks:

The Sales and Operations Planning Manager belongs to the Global S&OP team being part of the Operations Organization. The S&OP Manager is the key expert to improve the material forecast starting from the unconstrained demand pipeline to the supplier forecast. He/she works closely together with Global Sales, Procurement Organization and the Supply Chain Analytic team and is dedicated to a regional setup. • Represent Sales and Operations Planning within the Organization to break down silos, connect disparate data sources, explore what-if simulations and develop cross-functional collaboration • Drive smarter business decisions faster to reduce lead times and inventory levels • Improve the 12 Month rolling material forecast • Lead and organize regular account review meetings with the major accounts • Know changes and anomalies in demand sooner to drive them faster through the forecast process to the supplier • Understand supply constraints to mitigate lead time risks in the forecast before PO entry from the customer

Supplementary Tasks:

• Manage and optimize the inventory levels to have the right materials in stock • Be able to see the complete picture of the entire supply chain planning with the most up-to-date data and changes • Contribute to strategic concepts as part of a Sales and Operations Planning team • Lead and participate in projects to support the continuous improvement process • Monitor and report on the forecast accuracy performance including root cause analyses, meetings and presentations

Skills / Qualifications / Training / Experience:
