Job Description

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to optimize supply plans for product availability and minimize inventory costs while meeting customer demand. This role involves reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, managing inbound supply from OEMs to customers, and overseeing supplier relationships for performance and compliance. The manager will also handle inventory levels, resolve supplier issues, and collaborate with Demand Planning, Logistics, Procurement, and Business Operations to improve cost and delivery. Key responsibilities include identifying and mitigating supply chain risks, coordinating with Business Operations for revenue goals, ensuring purchasing policy compliance, driving process improvements, managing customer and regional supply planning, and leading a team of 4-6 direct individual contributors. The role also involves participating in strategic business initiatives and problem-solving within business processes. Travel is required as needed.

Job Description

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing supply plans to ensure product availability, minimize inventory costs, and meet customer demand. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics, excellent analytical capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.

  • Report directly to the Director, Supply Chain - Supply Planning 

  • Responsible for supply inbound to MSI directly or via drop ship processes from the OEM North American supply base to worldwide internal and external customers  

  • Manage existing supplier relationships to ensure performance and compliance with company standards.

  • Manage inventory levels to optimize stock and minimize carrying costs while ensuring availability of necessary materials.

  • Resolve issues related to supplier performance, quality, and delivery discrepancies.

  • Collaborate closely with Demand Planning, Logistics, Procurement, and Business Operations to optimize cost and on-time delivery

  • Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply.

  • Coordinate with Business Operations and Delivery Management to align on revenue goals and improve customer experience.  

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant purchasing policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in supply planning processes, tools, and methodologies.

  • Key customer and regional owner for Supply Planning processes which will include cadence adherence, KPI monitoring and use of Supplier Collaboration tools

  • Manage 4-6 direct individual contributors

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply planning professionals. 

  • Participate in strategic business initiatives from ideation to implementation. 

  • Identify and solve core problems or opportunities within business processes. 

  • Travel as needed to MSI sites and suppliers sites. 

Target Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years experience in one or more of the following:  Manufacturing, Operations, Logistics, Procurement, Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Inventory, Outsourced Procurement, Purchasing, Project Management, ERP and Collaboration software
