Job Description

Reporting into Senior Manager, Supply Chain Planning, you will ensure efficient planning, assembly, and supply of all PlayStation physical products across Europe, Middle East, and Africa, meeting all new product release dates. This is a Fixed Term Contract for 9-12 months. You will manage third-party warehousing partners for accurate delivery, planning, assembly, and distribution across Europe. Responsibilities include reviewing sales forecasts, analyzing inventory, creating optimal weekly production schedules, assessing risks, and liaising with the Operations Packaging Manager. You will also provide accurate bundle forecasts and maintain the supply planning process flow to meet business needs and service levels.
Must have:
  • Manage third-party warehousing partners for accurate delivery, planning, assembly, and distribution across Europe.
  • Review and analyze sales forecast and inventory data to create optimal weekly production schedules with minimum inventory exposure.
  • Assess risks and gaps within the production schedule and communicate appropriately within the Sales organization through daily & weekly reporting.
  • Liaise with Operations Packaging Manager to plan packaging production efficiently, ensuring timely arrival for assembly and product release.
  • Provide accurate and timely bundle forecasts for the department and/or wider business on a weekly and/or monthly basis.
  • Ensure the entire supply planning process flow is well maintained to meet overall business needs and service levels for hardware supply.
  • Efficiently manage communication to align all stages of manufacturing/assembly process and inform partners of issues or changes.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to improve overall sales planning and new product release processes.
  • Continuously seek to create/improve current processes and reporting methods, providing input and driving change.
  • Liaise with territories to continually improve communication channels and share ideas, information, and knowledge.
  • Think ahead and identify potential issues before they become showstoppers, challenging current procedures to improve performance.
  • Escalate critical issues and provide updates/feedback to Senior Manager, Supply Planning and/or department management.

  • Experience preferably within an FMCG company
  • Experience at a European level (for supply chain/operations management)
  • Previous experience of overseeing assembly planning with a 3PL
  • Knowledge and experience of managing compliance issues within an assembly environment

Role Overview:

Reporting into Senior Manager, Supply Chain Planning you will ensure efficient planning, assembly and supply of all PlayStation physical products across Europe, Middle East and Africa, meeting all new product release dates (as and where appropriate). Please note this is a Fixed Term Contract for 9-12 months.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Day to day management of our third-party warehousing partners to ensure accurate delivery, planning, assembly and distribution of all product across Europe.
  • Review and analyse sales forecast and inventory data and take action to create the most optimal weekly production schedule with minimum inventory exposure.
  • Assess risks and gaps within the production schedule and communicate appropriately within the Sales organisation through daily & weekly reporting
  • Close liaison and working relationship with the Operations Packaging Manager and team to plan packaging production efficiently, ensuring arrival dates are in line with the timelines required for assembly and/or local requirements and product release dates.
  • Provision of accurate and timely bundle forecasts for the department and/or wider business on a weekly and/or monthly basis
  • Ensure that the entire supply planning process flow is well maintained to meet overall business needs, and service levels for hardware supply into SIEE managed warehouses and/or Territory and Distributor warehouses

Communication, Processes & Systems

  • Efficiently manage communication to ensure all stages of the manufacturing/ assembly process are aligned, and all partners are informed and kept abreast of any issues or major changes.
  • Collaborate with internal departments/collaborators to improve the overall sales planning and new product release process
  • Continuously seek to create/improve upon all current processes and reporting methods by providing input and ideas and driving through change across the team as needed
  • Liaise with territories to continually improve communication channels and to share ideas, information and knowledge.
  • Having the ability to think ahead and identify any potential issues before they become a showstopper is a must as is being able and prepared to challenge current procedures/status quo to constantly improve performance and efficiency.
  • Escalation of any critical issues and provision of updates/feedback the Senior Manager, Supply Planning and/or department management on all activity within the Supply Planning area.

What we are looking for:

  • Supply Chain/Operations management experience is an absolute must, preferably within an FMCG company, and at a European level as a minimum
  • Strong experience of managing a 3rd Party Logistics Provider is required; previous experience of overseeing assembly planning with a 3PL would be highly desirable and offer a clear advantage
  • Knowledge and experience of managing compliance issues within an assembly environment would be advantageous
  • A customer orientated, positive, can-do attitude is a fundamental requirement
  • A resilient personality with a demonstrable ability to cope with and work well under pressure is vital
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility and lead change when necessary
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail is critical
  • Ability to collate, assimilate and summarise complex data quickly
  • Highly proficient communication skills; both written and verbal
  • PC literate – good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SAP
