This role involves working with customers to design in products, including board-level schematic design and review, troubleshooting and debugging, providing training to customers and sales teams, and collaborating with engineering and product design teams. The role also offers opportunities to participate in new product development, create competitive analysis, and develop technical product training materials. The candidate will be expected to work in a team, interact with both customers and engineers, and solve complex problems.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 4-5 years experience in designing or supporting technical designs
  • Demonstrable electronic debug skills
  • Technical knowledge of x86 PC Architecture
  • Electronic design skills
  • Experience with computer interfaces PCIe, USB, etc.
  • PCB rework/soldering experience with SMD components
  • Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment
  • Knowledge of assembly language (preferably X86), C/C++ and/or hardware verification languages
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Proven track record of providing high-quality customer support
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Genuine passion for technology

The EMEA Application Design-In Centre (ADC) provides best-in-class technical design support (both hardware and software) to our customers from designing-in the product (design the motherboard, bring it up, debug it) with our customers right through to production. The team covers a range of activities supporting major European customers, helping them design-in their new products using the latest Intel technology and products (chip-down motherboard design).

We are looking for candidates with a focus on understanding both hardware and software and having the ability to grow their knowledge and continuously learn as the role and technology evolve. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a team and interact with both our customers and engineers and to work through complex problems and innovate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with customers to help them design in products including board-level schematic design and review
  • Troubleshooting with issue replication and debugging
  • Providing training to customers and sales teams
  • Working with and influencing engineering and product design teams
  • Working within a global organisation with cross-regional teams based in multiple time zones

There is an opportunity to get involved in other exciting projects outside of day-to-day responsibilities, such as:

  • Participating in new product development, representing the customers' technical needs, creating competitive analysis from a technical perspective, and developing and presenting technical product training materials and demonstrations

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in designing or supporting technical designs (motherboards, systems) in the embedded market segment or Data Center
  • Demonstrable electronic debug skills
  • Demonstrable technical knowledge of x86 PC Architecture
  • Demonstrable Electronic design skills and understanding of system-level engineering trade-offs
  • Experience with computer interfaces PCIe, USB, etc.
  • PCB rework/soldering experience with SMD components
  • Hands-on experience of electronic test equipment, e.g. DVM, PSU, oscilloscopes and the ability to learn in-house tools
  • Knowledge of assembly language (preferably X86), C/C++ and/or hardware verification languages
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Proven track record of providing high-quality customer support
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative, communicate and collaborate effectively
  • Genuine passion for technology and a curiosity to understand how it works, with a hands-on approach

Nice to have:

  • Experience and knowledge of the embedded market segment, especially Internet of Things or Data Center
  • Fluency in other European languages
