As the Talent Acquisition Leader for EMEA, you will lead and develop a regional team of recruiters for Cubic Transportation Systems. Reporting to the Director of Global Talent Acquisition, you will drive strategic initiatives, act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, and develop and execute forward-thinking recruitment strategies. Your role involves building strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring the delivery of high-caliber talent, including niche and executive-level hires, and improving recruitment processes. This hybrid role requires regular in-office presence and occasional travel.
Must have:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of regional recruiters.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives within the talent acquisition function.
  • Actively participate in business reviews to support talent acquisition strategy.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership and regional business leaders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on workforce trends and recruitment best practices.
  • Facilitate collaborative partnerships with internal teams, including HR and Compensation.
  • Leverage data and analytics to continuously improve recruitment strategies.
  • Establish and track key recruitment metrics.
  • Actively manage and ensure compliance with all local markets in the EMEA region.
  • Lead recruitment efforts for senior and executive-level roles.
  • Build and maintain strong pipelines for critical leadership roles.
  • Champion innovative sourcing techniques and employer branding strategies.
  • Oversee relationships with external recruitment partners.
  • Extensive experience in talent acquisition leadership roles, with expertise in EMEA markets (UK, Ireland, Germany).
  • Proven success in executive recruitment and building pipelines for senior leadership positions.
  • Demonstrated ability to align talent acquisition strategies with organizational goals.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Data driven and analytical, proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Deep understanding of EMEA labor markets and compliance with local recruitment regulations.
  • Proactive leader with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented and solutions-focused.
  • Flexibility to work in a hybrid model with regular in-office presence and travel.

Job Summary:

As the leader for the EMEA you will shape the talent acquisition function for Cubic Transportation Systems (CTS) across the EMEA region. Reporting directly to the Director of Global Talent Acquisition with close ties to the Chief People Officer for CTS, you will oversee a team of regional recruiters, drive strategic initiatives, and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. Your role will focus on developing and executing forward-thinking recruitment strategies, building strong stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-caliber talent across the region, including niche requirements and executive-level hires. This is a hybrid role requiring a regular in-office presence and occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of regional recruiters, fostering a high-performance culture focused on delivering exceptional results.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives within the talent acquisition function, ensuring operational efficiency and a high-quality recruitment experience.
  • As a direct business partner, actively participate in business reviews and other pertinent meetings to support the design and implementation of a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy focused on aligning with business goals and the organization’s broader workforce planning initiatives.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership and regional business leaders to understand organizational goals and talent priorities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights on workforce trends, recruitment best practices, and market dynamics to inform decision-making.
  • Facilitate collaborative partnerships with internal teams, including HR and Compensation. Gain in-depth knowledge of our compensation philosophy to provide guidance on salary offers, job leveling, and market competitiveness.
  • Leverage data and analytics to continuously improve recruitment strategies, ensuring agility and scalability to meet evolving demands
  • Establish and track key recruitment metrics to measure success, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare and deliver regular performance updates and insights to stakeholders, using advanced Excel skills and data visualization tools to inform strategic decisions.
  • Actively manage and ensure compliance with all local markets in the EMEA region. This will require agile changes and additions in conjunction with business growth plans

Sourcing & Recruitment

  • Lead recruitment efforts for senior and executive-level roles, ensuring a best-in-class candidate experience and seamless hiring process.
  • Build and maintain strong pipelines for critical leadership roles to meet current and future business needs.
  • Champion the use of innovative sourcing techniques, employer branding strategies, and tools to attract top talent in competitive markets.

Agency and Vendor Management

  • Oversee relationships with external recruitment partners, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and cost-effectiveness.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate agreements to achieve optimal outcomes.

Background and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in talent acquisition leadership roles, with a strong preference for expertise in EMEA markets, particularly the UK, Ireland, and Germany.
  • Proven success in executive recruitment and building pipelines for senior leadership positions.
  • Demonstrated ability to align talent acquisition strategies with organizational goals and regional business priorities.
  • Industry experience recruiting for program management, engineering, field services, and business development roles is highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Data driven and analytical, proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience using Workday as an ATS is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Deep understanding of EMEA labor markets and compliance with local recruitment regulations.
