Must Have

- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, PowerPoint, Oracle Primavera P6.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-value projects and associated teams.
- Decisive, proactive leader with strong people management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong commercial acumen, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Highly driven, self-motivated, takes ownership, and meets deadlines.
- Successful outcome of a National Police Check.
Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for the management, performance and completion of single or multiple high technology projects that require the development (hardware and software), manufacture, and test of electronic and electro-mechanical systems. Assures that contractual obligations are met within assigned budget and schedule. Primary contact with customer on assigned projects that generally have a total value of $15-$50 million. Assignment will generally be to higher risk, higher value projects with responsibility at the total system level. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages multiple projects in accordance with contracts and policies, procedures and department instructions
- Ensures that contracts are met in the most efficient and profitable manner
- Serves as primary contact for customers
- Leads project execution to meet technical performance within cost and schedule
- Manages, oversees, monitors and approves all elements of assigned project activities from inception to completion including proposal development, product design, procurement, subcontracting, manufacturing, testing, delivery, installation and acceptance of products
- Plans and directs integration of cross-functional project teams that represents various organizations within the Company.
- Effectively manages major projects ($10M or greater in sales)
- Performs project financial management to ensure that profit is earned and cash is collected
- Performs Earned Value management tasks
- Actively performs risk management and pursues risk reduction on assigned projects
- Identifies project issues with sufficient lead for timely resolution
- Works to grow the project through contract changes and preplanned product improvements
- Develops proposals for new business
- Reviews and approves technical approach, feasibility and cost estimates
- Leads proposal preparation, statements of work and specifications, estimation of product/service costs, negotiation and administration of contracts
- Participates in marketing new technology, developing potential new business, and responsible for obtaining follow-on business in conjunction with Business Development
- May directly manage a team and as such team management responsibilities (performance management, reviews etc) may be required

Minimum Job Requirements:
Qualifications
Essential:
- University degree or equivalent in Project Management, Information Systems and Technology Management, Computer Science or other relevant discipline
- Project Management Certification in Prince2 or PMBOK
Skills/Experience/Knowledge
Essential:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in delivering projects, including complex projects
- Must have appropriate customer experience. This will vary depending on the project
- Proficient in MS Office applications including a working knowledge of Experience using Microsoft Project, Microsoft PowerPoint, Oracle Primavera P6 Scheduling Tool
- Proven ability to manage multiple, high value projects at one time, including associated project teams
- Proven ability to be a decisive and pro-active leader, with an ability to people manage effectively
- Proven ability to input into business development processes
