TD Assets junior (M/F/NB)

Fortiche is an award-winning entertainment company known for Arcane and other large-scale international productions, with a distinctive 2D/3D aesthetic. We are seeking a Technical Director (TD) Assets to be the central technical referent for their department and a driver of continuous improvement. Reporting to the Lead TD, this key role involves being the primary technical contact for production issues and actively supporting the team in developing, creating, monitoring, and testing tools/processes to optimize the production workflow.

Must Have

• Identify and resolve technical issues effectively
• Provide support and training for developed tools
• Offer technical support to artists
• Maintain existing tools already in production
• Play an active role in team collaboration
• Communicate proactively and develop constructive working relationships
• Strong knowledge of the production pipeline within a 3D animation film studio
• Proficiency in Maya, Mari, and Zbrush
• Knowledge of the Asset production workflow (Design, Modeling, Rigging, Texturing, Grooming)
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Familiarity with version control tools such as GIT, SVN
• Fluency in English and French

Good to Have

• Knowledge of Guerilla Render / Photoshop / Houdini
• Knowledge of Javascript (Adobe Extensions)
• Knowledge of PyQt / PySide
• Familiarity with packaging systems (REZ)
• Experience in production within an animation film studio
• Experience with production tracking tools such as Shotgrid (Flow Production Tracking)

We are looking for our future Technical Director (TD) Assets to become the central technical referent for their department and a driver of continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Lead TD, you will hold a key position essential to the performance and evolution of our production pipeline. Working in close cooperation with the Tech and production teams, your role goes beyond simple troubleshooting.

You will be the primary technical point of contact for your department regarding production-related issues. Furthermore, you will actively support your team in developing, creating, monitoring, and testing tools/processes aimed at improving and optimizing our production workflow.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of the production pipeline within a 3D animation film studio.
• Proficiency in Maya, Mari, and Zbrush.
• Knowledge of the Asset production workflow (Design, Modeling, Rigging, Texturing, Grooming).
• Strong proficiency in Python.
