The Technical Analyst - Revenue Cycle and Claims works with stakeholders to discover, clarify, and document current and future data needs. This role involves performing mapping of revenue cycle, clinical, and claims data to a normalized data model, serving as a subject matter expert on revenue cycle data domains like Registration, Scheduling, Accounting, Billing, Cost Accounting, and Claims. The analyst builds data concepts for Revenue Cycle and Claims use cases and acts as a key resource for understanding business and technical issues, providing viable technology solutions.
Must Have:- Work with stakeholders to discover, clarify, and document data needs.
- Perform mapping of revenue cycle, clinical and claims data to a normalized data model.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on revenue cycle data domains.
- Build data concepts to support Revenue Cycle and Claims use cases.
- Act as a quality consultant and subject matter expert, performing testing and validation of data mapping.
- Collaborate with technical resources for root cause analysis and remediation of data quality issues.
- Design and implement projects requiring systems integration and multiple technical platforms.
- Conduct Return on Investment (ROI) and other financial analysis.
- Provide subject-matter expertise of Health Ministry processes, policies and requirements.
- Prior experience working as a Revenue Cycle analyst in the Healthcare system.
- Working knowledge of relational databases/database structures.
- Strong understanding of data collected and used in EMRs, Revenue Cycle and Patient Accounting Systems.
- Knowledge and experience with ambulatory and acute clinical, billing and claims workflows and clinical information systems.
- Bachelor or Masters degree in related health or finance field.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
