This is an incredible opportunity to work with professionals who develop advanced 3D animation solutions for Hollywood special effects, visualization specialists, and game and film artists. The role involves collaborating with Product, UX, Engineering, and Marketing teams to bridge the gap between artistic vision and technical implementation. Responsibilities include creating high-quality 3D and 2D visual assets, developing and testing workflows, and exploring new content creation techniques. The intern will also be expected to troubleshoot technical issues and proactively implement best practices to improve asset quality. This is a hybrid position (2 or 3 days at the office in Montreal) for Fall 2025 (September-December 2025).
Must have:
  • Currently a student in a related field with a GPA of 3.50 or higher
  • Strong knowledge of VFX and animation production pipelines.
  • Knowledge of 3D graphics including modeling and animation
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and improve asset quality
Good to have:
  • Skilled user of modern DCC, real-time engines, and compositing tools
  • Familiarity with rendering engines like Arnold, Redshift, or Unreal Engine
  • Familiar with procedural content creation workflows
  • Proficiency in Python and/or MEL

Le groupe Entertainment and Media Solutions (EMS) est composé d'une gamme de logiciels utilisés par des milliers de créateurs et d'artistes de l'industrie des médias et du divertissement, tels que Maya, 3ds Max, Flame et ShotGrid. Il s'agit d'une excellente occasion d'acquérir une expérience de développement de première ligne dans un environnement stimulant.   Tu travailleras avec une équipe de professionnel.les qui te guideront et partageront leur expertise dans ce domaine passionnant et important du développement de logiciels.  

Responsabilités :

  • Collaboration : Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les équipes Produit, UX, Ingénierie et Marketing pour combler le fossé entre la vision artistique et la mise en œuvre technique des flux de travail de création de contenu. 
  • Création d'actifs : Créer des actifs visuels 3D et 2D de haute qualité pour démontrer les flux de travail du produit et le contenu pour les démonstrations de produits, les documents marketing et les sessions clients. 
  • Validation et développement des flux de travail : Travailler avec les équipes de création de contenu pour développer et tester les flux de travail afin d'améliorer les capacités des artistes et l'efficacité de la production. 
  • Innovation technique : Rechercher et explorer de nouvelles techniques de création de contenu afin d'améliorer l'idéation du flux de travail de l'animation et des effets visuels dans le cadre du développement de produits. 

Qualifications minimales :

  • Tu es actuellement étudiant.e en animation par ordinateur, effets visuels, conception numérique et artistique ou dans d'autres domaines connexes, avec une moyenne pondérée cumulative d'au moins 3,50, et vous êtes en troisième année ou plus.
  • Aptitude à faire preuve de professionnalisme dans toutes les communications et solide connaissance pratique des pipelines de production d'effets visuels et d'animation, ainsi que des compétences en matière de postproduction, avec un souci du détail.
  • Connaissance du graphisme 3D, notamment de la modélisation, du rigging, de l'animation, des effets spéciaux et des flux de travail lumière/rendu. 
  • Capable de résoudre des problèmes techniques complexes dans un esprit de production, en mettant en œuvre de manière proactive les meilleures pratiques afin de minimiser les temps d'arrêt et d'améliorer la qualité des actifs. 
  • Posséder des compétences en matière de conception créative et de narration visuelle, ainsi que des aptitudes techniques. Tu dois être capable de produire des images et des animations sous supervision.

Remarque : il s'agit d'un poste hybride (2 ou 3 jours au bureau à Montréal) pour l'automne 2025 (période de travail de septembre à décembre 2025).

Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Product, UX, Engineering and Marketing teams to bridge the gap between artistic vision and technical implementation of content creation workflows. 

  • Asset Creation: Create high quality 3D and 2D visual assets to demonstrate product workflows and content for product demonstrations, Marketing materials and customer sessions. 

  • Workflow Validation and Development: Work with content creation teams to develop and test workflows to enhance the capabilities of artists and improve production efficiency. 

  • Technical Innovation: Research and explore new content creation techniques to enhance animation and visual effects workflow ideation in product development. 

  • Problem Solving: Surface technical issues encountered by artists and work with content creation teams to identify possible solutions to streamline workflows. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing your degree in Computer Animation, Visual Effects, Digital & Arts Design or others fields related with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and in your third year and plus.

  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism in all communications and a strong working knowledge of VFX and animation production pipelines and postproduction skills with attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of 3D graphics, including modeling, rigging, animation, FX and light/render workflows. 

  • Able to troubleshoot complex technical issues with a production mindset, proactively implementing best practices to minimize downtime and improve asset quality. 

  • Possess creative design and visual storytelling skills, along with technical ability. Must be capable of producing imagery and animations with supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Skilled user of modern DCC, real-time engines and compositing tools - Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini, Nuke, Photoshop etc. 

  • Familiarity with rendering engines like Arnold, Redshift, or Unreal Engine. 

  • Familiar with procedural content creation workflows. 

  • Proficiency in Python and/or MEL; experience with PySide or Qt is a plus. 

Note: This is an hybrid (2 or 3 days at the office in Montreal) position for Fall 2025 (September-December 2025 work term)
