We are looking to add a Java Technical Lead in Changsha, China within our New Sports API team. It is a great opportunity to work in a tech-driven company.   • Add unit and functional tests
  • Run refactoring sessions
  • Work closely with colleagues
  • Code review colleagues' work
  • Automatize deployment processes
  • Think of and write technical specifications
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new modules
  • 5+ years professional experience as a Java backend developer
  • 2+ years experience as a Team Leader
  • Strong experience and knowledge of object-oriented software design
  • Good knowledge of common data structures
  • Experience with multi-threaded environments
  • Experience with Junit
  • Experience with JDBC, SQL/MySQL
  • Fluent in spoken and written English

Job Summary:

What You'll get to do:

  • Lead a team of 4-6 Java developers;
  • Add features to the existing modules and develop new;
  • Tune the applications when they do not abide by the real time constraints;
  • Add unit and functional tests wherever you feel they are needed;
  • Run refactoring sessions when needed. (not everything is perfect);
  • Work closely with your colleagues;
  • Code review your colleagues work;
  • Automatize deployment processes;
  • Think of and write technical specifications;
  • Contribute to the design and the implementation of new modules.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years or more professional experiences as a Java backend developer and 2+ years more as a Team Leader;
  • Strong experience and knowledge of object-oriented software design;
  • Good knowledge of common data structures;
  • Experience (or at least, knowledge) with multi-threaded environments;
  • Experience with Junit;
  • Experience with JDBC, SQL/MySQL;
  • Experience with high scalable software and high performing components is a plus;
