Must have:
  • Responsible for the maintenance management strategy for heavy equipment, transport, and infrastructure.
  • Develop and manage medium and long-term plans for equipment and facilities.
  • Responsible for the preparation, management, and control of the area's budget.
  • Evaluates, selects, and manages relationships with contractors to minimize costs.
  • Directs, evaluates, and develops maintenance personnel and third parties.
  • Responsible for the maintenance area's training plan.
  • Responsible for the analysis of maintenance management reports and resource approval.
  • Manage infrastructure improvement projects and area action plans.
  • Evaluate and implement alternatives for cost reduction or process improvements.

Based in Santiago, Chile or Lima, our Technical Maintenance Manager will have the main responsibility of planning, directing, and supervising repair and preventive and corrective maintenance activities so that the organization's machinery, buildings, facilities, and equipment operate reliably.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Responsible for the maintenance management strategy for heavy equipment, transport, and infrastructure (facilities) specialties.
  • Develop and manage medium and long-term plans for equipment and facilities.
  • Responsible for the preparation, management, and control of the area's budget.
  • Evaluates, selects, and manages relationships with contractors to minimize costs and ensure the organization receives satisfactory service standards.
  • Directs, evaluates, and develops maintenance personnel and third parties so that repair and service activities are completed accurately, safely, and on time.
  • Responsible for the maintenance area's training plan.
  • Responsible for the analysis of maintenance management reports, and for the approval and control of resources for the execution of maintenance and civil works.
  • Manage infrastructure improvement projects and area action plans, as well as savings, efficiency, and continuous improvement projects for the organization.
  • Evaluate and implement alternatives that can be identified within the area that impact cost reduction or process improvements (continuous improvement).

What We Are Looking For:

  • At least 5 years of experience managing Maintenance areas for equipment and infrastructure.
  • Professional degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
  • Diploma in Maintenance Management/Asset Management, Infrastructure, or Facilities Management.
  • Master's in Administration or MBA.
  • Knowledge of ERP, modules: Purchasing, Maintenance.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
