Job Description

As a Technical Motion Designer at Storyteq, you will transform creative assets from global brands into scalable, dynamic templates using After Effects and Adobe suite. This role involves applying logic, scripting, and data-driven workflows to automate creative production, streamlining campaign workflows and accelerating market launch for clients. You will build dynamic After Effects projects, solve technical problems with scripting, prepare assets, ensure quality control, and collaborate with various teams and clients.
Good To Have:
  • Figma skills (for asset adaptation)
  • Ability to develop in JavaScript
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS
  • Experience with web-based creative automation tools or templating platforms
  • Understanding of digital media production and file formats
Must Have:
  • Build dynamic After Effects projects and automation-ready creative templates
  • Use scripting, expressions, and data-driven setups (e.g., CSV/JSON) to create scalable solutions
  • Adapt and optimize creative files from Photoshop, Illustrator, or Figma for use in automation workflows
  • Test thoroughly, debug render issues, and ensure templates are reliable and well-organized
  • Keep files structured, write clear documentation, and make handovers easy for colleagues
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Account Managers, and other designers to deliver on client needs
  • Strong Adobe After Effects skills (expressions, parenting, render optimization, template structuring)
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Ability to script in basic ExtendScript
  • Basic understanding of data-driven animation (CSV/JSON)
  • Strong organization, documentation, and time-management skills
  • Excellent English communication (written, verbal, and visual)

About the Job

As a Technical Motion Designer (TMD) at Storyteq, you’ll work at the intersection of design, technology, and automation. Your job is to take creative assets from global brands and transform them into scalable, dynamic templates that can be rolled out across markets, formats, and languages. This role combines motion design expertise with technical problem-solving. You’ll need to be comfortable working in After Effects and the Adobe suite, while also applying logic, scripting, and data-driven workflows to automate creative production.

What You'll Do

  • Template Development: Build dynamic After Effects projects and automationready creative templates.
  • Technical Problem Solving: Use scripting, expressions, and data-driven setups (e.g. CSV/JSON) to create scalable solutions.
  • Asset Preparation: Adapt and optimize creative files from Photoshop, Illustrator, or Figma for use in automation workflows.
  • Quality Control: Test thoroughly, debug render issues, and ensure templates are reliable and well-organized.
  • Documentation & Handover: Keep files structured, write clear documentation, and make handovers easy for colleagues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers, Account Managers, and other designers to deliver on client needs.
  • Client Support: Occasionally explain workflows, requirements, and logic to clients in a clear and accessible way.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay curious, learn new tools, and share knowledge with the team.
