Must Have

  • Over 5 years of experience in effects production, not limited to game development.

Good to Have

  • Specialized skills or knowledge in effects production processes
  • Experience using multiple DCC tools such as Houdini, Unreal (Niagara), Maya

Job Description

Wizcorp is looking for an Effects Artist (VFX) to work on projects for next-generation game consoles. Depending on your background, skills, and experience, we will introduce you to the optimal position within our team.

Responsibilities ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ“†๐Ÿ•น

You will be involved in all aspects of effects design and production in game development.

Specific duties include:

  • Conceiving and producing effects in line with game design, in collaboration with planners and programmers.
  • Effects production (simulation, texturing, modeling, setup, etc.).
  • Technical support for effects production.

โฒ Flextime System

Everyone has a different way of using their creative time, and you know best what works for you.

You will work 8 hours a day (excluding a 1-hour break) from Monday to Friday, with core hours from 11:00 to 16:00. The distribution of hours outside of core time is up to you.

๐ŸŒŽ Flexible Work Location

Wizcorp implements full remote work, with most employees working from home. Of course, you can also work at the office if needed, using meeting rooms and hot desks.

The salary range for a Senior Character Artist (sic, likely a typo for Effects Artist) is as follows:

Annual 4.8 to 9.6 million JPY (Monthly 400,000 to 800,000 JPY)

The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant's experience and interview evaluation.

The first 6 months of employment will be a probationary period, but there will be no special impact or change to the salary during this period.

  • There is an annual performance review, and salary is reviewed based on experience and contribution to projects.
