Wind River is seeking a Technical Product Analyst for its Product Portfolio Strategy team. This role is for a software development professional looking to impact product strategy, shaping the future of platforms like RTOS, Linux, Wind River Cloud Platform, and DevOps tools. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contributing to technical evaluations, proof-of-concept enablement, and solution diagrams. Leveraging a development background, they will support architecture creation and solution design, ensuring technical feasibility. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and scale customer-focused technologies powering intelligent systems across edge and cloud environments.
Must have:
  • 2-5 years in product analyst or software engineering with product management exposure.
  • Hands-on software development (C/C++, Python, Go, build systems, CI/CD).
  • Comfortable with code, architecture diagrams, and technical designs.
  • Familiarity with product development lifecycle and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, collaborative team with strong ownership.
  • Ability to communicate technical and strategic concepts clearly.
  • Experience leveraging technical/market data for product decisions.
  • Ability to switch contexts between strategy, engineering, and GTM.
  • Understanding of RTOS, Linux, Cloud, DevOps, containers, Kubernetes, AI/ML, cybersecurity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a technically skilled and analytically driven Technical Product Analyst to join our Product Portfolio Strategy team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in software development who is now looking to grow their impact through product strategy. You will help shape the future of our product portfolio, including platforms from RTOS and Linux operating systems to Wind River Cloud Platform, DevOps tooling suite and services offerings by combining technical understanding with strategic insight.

In this role, you'll partner closely with cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Partner, Sales, and Marketing to support end-to-end portfolio planning and execution. You’ll contribute to technical evaluations, proof-of-concept enablement, and product solution diagrams by synthesizing input from internal stakeholders and external sources, such as customer feedback and market intelligence. Your development background will enable you to support engineering leaders in architecture collateral creation, contribute to solution design conversations, and ensure that strategy is grounded in technical feasibility. This is a unique opportunity to build and scale differentiated, customer-focused technologies while working on cutting-edge infrastructure that powers intelligent systems across edge and cloud environments.

ABOUT YOU

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in a product analyst, technical business analyst, or software engineering role with exposure to product management
  • Hands-on experience in software development using languages such as C/C++, Python, or Go, and familiarity with build systems and CI/CD pipelines required
  • Comfortable reading and discussing code, system architecture diagrams, and technical design documents
  • Familiarity with product development lifecycle and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like team with a collaborative mindset and strong sense of ownership
  • Ability to communicate technical and strategic concepts clearly, including presenting insights to engineering and executive stakeholders
  • Experience leveraging technical and market data to evaluate solutions, identify trends, and inform product decisions
  • Ability to switch contexts effectively between product strategy, engineering discussions, and go-to-market planning
  • Understanding of key technical concepts such as RTOS, embedded/enterprise Linux, Cloud, DevOps practices, containers, Kubernetes, AI/ML workloads, and cybersecurity is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field required

Compensation

The annual base salary range for this role’s listed grade level is currently $110,000 to $130,000.
