Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager focused on Network Deployments Engineering at Google, you'll lead complex projects from start to finish, working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage schedules, and communicate across teams. You will work on Google Enterprise Network deployment projects, ensuring the network remains current, stable, and vendor-supported. You'll collaborate with engineers and operations teams to meet operational needs, focusing on efficient scaling, security, and high availability. Responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams to define initiatives for Google's network infrastructure, presenting network plans for approval, managing projects to ensure on-time delivery, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve business processes. You'll also work with network negotiators on orders, agreements, and vendor meetings.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent experience
2+ years program management experience
Networking program management experience
Vendor management experience
Collaboration with cross-functional teams
Project planning and execution
Problem-solving and analytical skills

Good to have:

PMP and CCNA certifications
Knowledge of fiber optic systems/submarine cables
Experience with business process improvement
Excellent investigative skills
Financial skills

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience in program management.
Experience in program management in the networking area delivering infrastructure assets and vendor management.

Preferred qualifications:

Certifications in PMP (Project Management Professional), and CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate).
Knowledge of fiber optic systems/submarine cable ecosystem.
Ability to manage business and technical knowledge to drive the long-term objectives of the organisation.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and identify opportunities for optimisation.
Ability to adapt to data-driven investigative approaches towards solving challenges.
Excellent investigative, problem-solving and financial skills.

You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Technical Program Manager focused on Network Deployments Engineering, you will work on Google Enterprise Network deployment projects and keep Google Enterprise Network current, stable, and vendor support inline with the latest version of respective engineering design. You will be working with Network Engineers, Software Engineers, and Operations teams to ensure new solutions meet Operational needs. You will solve problems relating to efficient scaling, security, and high availability as Google continues to push the boundaries for innovative new technologies.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal business and cross-functional networking technical teams to identify and define tactical and strategic initiatives necessary to meet Google's network infrastructure needs for both expansion and cost optimization across Asia.
Present network plans for approval by all internal stakeholders. Plan complexity which will range from short-term metro augments to long-term region-wide strategies for Google's network in Asia.
Manage projects and the approved network plan with internal contributors such as network negotiators or vendor delivery managers to ensure infrastructure is delivered on-time.
Partner with cross-functional teams to define and improve business processes to enable automation, reduce lead time and manage changes.
Partner with network negotiators in planning and execution of orders, agreement, and in vendors meetings and industry conferences.
