Technical Sourcer

Perplexity AI is seeking a Technical Sourcer to join their rapidly growing team. This role is crucial for identifying, engaging, and inspiring world-class engineering and technical talent. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical grounding, a passion for sourcing, and the ability to operate creatively in ambiguous environments. You will partner closely with hiring teams to understand technical requirements, utilize diverse sourcing strategies, and act as the first point of contact for candidates, helping to build a team capable of solving challenging AI technology problems.

Must Have

• Research, identify, and engage engineering and technical talent
• Collaborate with recruiters and hiring teams to understand technical requirements
• Use a wide range of sourcing strategies including advanced research, talent mapping, referrals, and creative outreach
• Act as a candidate’s first introduction to Perplexity AI, delivering an authentic and compelling story
• Track and analyze pipeline data to optimize sourcing approaches
• Operate with agility, adapting to shifting priorities and hard-to-fill roles
• Ability to source and engage top technical talent in new and diverse European Union markets
• Exceptional technical literacy to navigate complex technical conversations and understand AI roles
• Proven experience sourcing talent in highly dynamic and fast-paced environments

You will partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and engineers to identify, engage, and inspire world-class talent—helping build a team capable of solving some of the most challenging problems in AI technology today.

What You’ll Do

• Research, identify, and engage engineering and technical talent across multiple disciplines and experience levels
• Collaborate with recruiters and hiring teams to deeply understand technical requirements and calibrate profiles with accuracy and nuance
• Use a wide range of sourcing strategies—including advanced research, talent mapping, referrals, and creative outreach—to build strong candidate pipelines
• Act as a candidate’s first introduction to Perplexity AI, delivering an authentic and compelling story about our mission, product, and team culture
• Track and analyze pipeline data to drive continuous optimization and improvements in sourcing approaches
• Operate with agility, adapting quickly to shifting priorities, hard-to-fill roles, and changing team needs
• Demonstrate the ability to source and engage top technical talent in new and diverse European Union markets, adapting outreach and sourcing strategies to local talent landscapes and compliance requirements

• Creativity and resilience: ability to design novel sourcing strategies, test new methods, and adapt quickly when faced with challenges
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and develop relationships with both candidates and internal partner teams

Our cash compensation range for this role is $140,000 - $170,000

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including, experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Equity: In addition to the base salary, equity may be part of the total compensation package.
