Job Description

This full-time Telecom Technician/Engineer role requires a US Citizen for Government Clearance and involves nationwide travel. Responsibilities include conducting in-depth site surveys at Navy installations, identifying Telco points of entry, preparing for MPLS circuit installations, assessing and documenting site wiring, creating accurate site documentation, preparing detailed Site Survey Reports, and developing site-specific migration plans. Candidates must have 3-10 years of experience with carrier-grade telecom duties and relevant certifications.
Must Have:
  • Conduct in-depth site surveys at Navy installations.
  • Identify Telco points of entry and prepare for MPLS circuit installation.
  • Assess and document the state and adequacy of site wiring.
  • Create and maintain accurate site documentation, including photographs, site sketches, solution diagrams, and cut sheets.
  • Prepare detailed Site Survey Reports to summarize findings and migration-readiness.
  • Develop site-specific migration plans, including high-level CONOPS and timelines.
  • Minimum 3-10 years as Carrier Grade Telecom Technician/Engineer.
  • Experience with telephony infrastructure, TDM Trunks (PRI/T1), Channel Service Units (CSUs), dial plans, and routing patterns.
  • Experience with IP/MPLS, fax machines, elevator alarms, STU-III/ST, E&M, analog, and PRI/T1 circuits.
  • Ability to provision new telecom circuits and wiring in a DOD/IC enterprise environment.
  • BS/BA STEM Degree or Related Fields.
  • REQUIRED CERTIFICATION(s): BICSI, RCDD, CCNA.
  • MUST Be Available to Work On Site at various locations including Norfolk/Little Creek, VA, Key West, FL, El Centro, CA, Great Lakes, IL, Monterey, IL, Philadelphia, PA, Mechanicsburg, PA, Silverdale, WA, and San Diego, CA.
  • REQUIRED CLEARANCE: US Citizen for Secret Clearance.

CARRIER GRADE TELECOM TECHNICIAN - Nation-wide Travel/ConUS

  • Conduct in-depth site surveys at Navy installations, identify Telco points of entry and preparing for MPLS circuit installation in collaboration with Local Exchange Carriers (LECs).
  • Assess and document the state and adequacy of site wiring. Determine and recommend new wiring routes as needed to interconnect legacy and next-gen components.
  • Create and maintain accurate site documentation, including photographs, site sketches, solution diagrams, and cut sheets for telephony requirements.
  • Prepare detailed Site Survey Reports to summarize findings and migration-readiness per location.
  • Develop site-specific migration plans, including high-level CONOPS and timelines for transition activities.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3-10 years of above referenced duties as Carrier Grade Telecom Technician/Engineer with telephony infrastructure, TDM Trunks (PRI/T1), Channel Service Units (CSUs), dial plans, and routing patterns, IP/MPLS, fax machines, elevator alarms, STU-III/ST, E&M, analog, and PRI/T1 circuits, and provision new telecom circuits and wiring, in a DOD/IC enterprise environment.
  • REQUIRED EDUCATION: BS/BA STEM Degree or Related Fields
  • REQUIRED CERTIFICATION(s): BICSI, RCDD, CCNA.
  • MUST Be Available to Work On Site at the following Locations - Norfolk/Little Creek, Virginia (first site), Key Wesk, Fl, and El Centro, Ca, and Great Lakes Il, and Monerey, Il, and Phaladelphia, Pa., and Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Silverdale, Wa., and San Diago, Ca.
  • REQUIRED CLEARANCE: US Citizen for Secret Clearance.
