We are currently looking for a New Model Development Intern to join our team in Smyrna, TN. This position will validate new technologies prior to adoption in production. Responsibilities include validation of new technologies related to Head Unit, Telematics connectivity, and Autonomous Drive systems in pre-production test vehicles, collecting data to support root cause investigations, and tracking results to validate countermeasures.
Must have:
  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Engineering or related field
  • Motor Vehicle Report required
  • Strong communication skills, both written & oral
  • Be self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skill sets
  • Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Travel: Local day drives and occasional overnight travel, up to 25%
  • Ability to perform work onsite at the Field Quality Center in Smyrna, TN

  • Preferred Degree: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

A Day in the Life:

  • Validation of new technologies related to: Head Unit, Telematics connectivity and Autonomous Drive related systems in pre-production test vehicles.
  • Collect data and summarize results to support root cause investigations for identified concerns.
  • Track and report results to appropriate groups and validate countermeasures.

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Engineering or related field
