Your Responsibilities

In your 24-month training as a specialist editor according to the guidelines of the German Journalists' Association, you will be taught the practical foundations of the journalistic profession and will actively participate from the beginning:

  • You will manage a medical journal in the editorial team with increasing personal responsibility, from topic planning to the printed edition.
  • You will get experts to talk and doctors to write.
  • You will refine raw text modules into illustrated articles.
  • You will report in words and pictures from national and international congresses.
  • You will hold the reins of magazine production and work closely with layout, advertising sales, and the online editorial team.
  • You will have a direct line to professional societies and associations.
  • You will commission external authors and maintain contact with editors, publishers, and opinion leaders.

Your Profile

  • You have completed a medical, scientific, or journalistic degree and ideally have initial editorial experience.
  • You enjoy language and didactics and are strong in communication and confident in expression.
  • You have good English skills, both written and spoken.
  • You are committed, interested, creative, and possess a confident demeanor and organizational talent.
  • You are proficient in using Office applications and willing to learn other IT systems.
