Join our Business Aviation Training Centre in Vienna (Schwechat) as Training Manager where you’ll be part of our global Business Aviation Training and leadership team. This role has a key focus on leadership responsibilities managing, motivating and guiding a team of approximately 40 Synthetic Flight Instructor. You will be responsible for the overall supervision and delivery of flight training activities, ensuring safe and efficient ground and flight training, and managing resources to meet training event requirements. The role also involves developing instructor training plans and nurturing relationships with primary customers.
Must have:
  • Be responsible for the overall supervision and delivery of flight training activities in the assigned fleet(s)
  • Be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of ground and flight training in assigned classrooms and aircraft simulators
  • Maintain contact with Account Executives, Scheduling, Regulatory and Standards to facilitate seamless delivery of training
  • Ensure quarterly Standards meetings are held to continuously improve the standardization of instructors and ensure compliance within the network
  • Develop and monitor instructor training plans
  • Liaise with Technical Services and Fleet Chiefs to ensure simulator data is current and that simulators contain all customer required material
  • Develop the annual client course training plan and course schedules based upon Sales projections
  • Manage resources to meet or exceed the required number of training events
  • Update instructor HR profiles to include compensation changes, allowances, transfers, promotions and leaves of absence
  • Create, maintain, and nurture a close relationship with the Training Center’s primary customers’ flight operations and training departments
  • EASA ATPL License required (valid or was valid within the last 7 years)
  • Previous experience as an Instructor, or equivalent
  • Ability to focus and work in a fast paced 24/7 environment
  • Readily accepts change and adjusts accordingly
  • Maintains concentrated customer/client orientation
  • Experience managing teams

  • Additional experience desired: FAA, GCAA, GACA, CAAC and other aviation regulators and regulations

About This Role

Join our Business Aviation Training Centre where you’ll be part of our global Business Aviation Training and leadership team.

We have just opened the doors to our newest business aviation training centre. We will initially operate five state-of the-art Full Flight Simulators, including the G550, PH100/300, Global 7500, and a Global 6000 Vision Full Flight Simulators for business jets from leading manufacturers. The new 8,000-square-metre facility will have space for expansion with a capacity for up to nine Full Flight Simulators and will be purpose-built to deliver the most advanced pilot training experience in Central Europe.

This role has a key focus on leadership responsibilities managing, motivating and guiding a team of approximately 40 Synthetic Flight Instructor. We would like to hear about your recent leadership experience with your application and would appreciate a cover letter with your CV.

We are offering a permanent (not contracting), full-time opportunity, and an occasional requirement to work on public holidays (based on customer needs). We are looking for the successful candidate to relocate with our support.

The role we are offering you:

Our ideal candidate has:

  • EASA ATPL License required (valid or was valid within the last 7 years)
