Job Description
Progress is seeking a UX Designer to collaborate with the team in creating, modifying, and maintaining wireframes, interactive prototypes, and final designs. The role involves working on well-defined tasks, seeking guidance when needed, and preparing deliverables that align with project goals. Responsibilities include understanding business needs, collaborating with senior team members and peers, applying UX principles, participating in product development, and contributing to the creation and maintenance of an in-house design system. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong independent work ethic and effective collaboration with stakeholders, including product managers, engineering leads, and marketing teams, to ensure successful outcomes. A background in Art, Graphical, UI/UX design, or Computer Science is beneficial, along with high proficiency in Figma and Adobe Illustrator, and a strong understanding of software technologies, tools, and trends.

In this role you will collaborate with the team to create, modify, and maintain wireframes, interactive prototypes, and final designs that align with project goals.
You will also work independently on well-defined, clearly scoped tasks while seeking guidance as needed to ensure quality and consistency across deliverables.
In this role, you will:
- Prepare wireframes, interactive prototypes and designs to demonstrate ideas and interactions following clearly defined requirements
- Works with business requirements, use cases and user stories
- Understand business needs and the product domain
- Closely collaborates with senior team members and peers (participate in team meetings and peer reviews)
- Follows the established practices, UI patterns and guidelines within the product
- Understand and apply UX principles
- Participates in product development, creating user flows and interaction design prototypes.
- Demonstrates awareness and high level of interest in the latest trends in the field
- Actively participate in creation and maintenance of in-house developed design system, such as designing components, building blocks, templates, demo applications and icons.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to work independently, taking full ownership of tasks and project execution.
- Effectively collaborates with stakeholders, including product managers, engineering leads, and marketing teams, to ensure productive and successful outcomes.
- Participates in preparation of user personas, use cases, interaction flow diagrams
- Build information architecture for specific features or product areas
Your background:
- BA/MA in any discipline – Art, Graphical, UI/UX design / Humanitarian or commuter science is beneficial.
- At least 2-3 years of related professional experience
- High level of proficiency in Figma and Adobe Illustrator
- Very good knowledge and understanding of software technologies, tools and trends; being at the forefront of technological innovation and trends
- Very good understanding of how design, prototyping and user research meet complex and varied requirements within tight development frames
- Demonstrates excellent knowledge in terms of design systems and their usage (Material, Bootstrap, MS Fluent etc.)
- Excellent understanding of guidelines and best UX patterns for both – web/desktop and mobile platforms (Windows/Mac and iOS/Android)
- Experience with diverse stakeholders (designers, developers, PMs, marketing teams)
- Up-to-date understanding of product-related user interface technologies and trends
- Good command of English
- Logical thinking to translate complex interactions into simple user experiences and flows
- Persistence and attention to detail
- A high level of understanding of color theory, font usage, proportions, and visual aesthetics in general
- Experience or interest in using AI tools to boost creativity and efficiency is a plus.
- Very good communication skills
