Job Description

Moffett Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Groomer to join their modern and supportive team. The groomer will be responsible for performing high-quality grooms in a timely manner, providing gentle and professional care to pets. Responsibilities include cleaning dog teeth, maintaining an upbeat attitude, calming anxious dogs, ensuring company policies are followed, communicating effectively with clients, shampooing and washing dogs, creating a welcoming environment, and cutting or shaving dog's hair or fur. The ideal candidate will have current grooming experience.
Must have:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Proficient at Grooming
  • Ability to lift dogs up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work professionally
  • Calming presence to pets
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to work on a team

Job Description

Join a supportive team in a high-end, modern environment. Pet Groomers will perform top quality grooms in a timely manner. Groomers should have current grooming experience and be able to consistently provide pups and parents with a high level of gentle and professional care. Job duties may include but not limited to:

  • Clean the dog's teeth
  • Maintain an upbeat attitude
  • Calm an anxious dog
  • Ensure company policies are being followed
  • Communicate effectively with clients to find out what they need
  • Shampoo and wash a dog's hair or fur
  • Create a welcoming environment for dogs and their owners
  • Cut or shave a dog's hair or fur

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Proficient at Grooming 
  • Ability to lift dogs that weigh up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a professional manner
  • Calming presence to pets
  • Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to work on a team
