The Opportunity
Reporting directly to FICO’s Vice President and General Manager, Scores, the Leader & Policy Liaison – Mortgage and Capital Markets will be responsible for acting as the senior liaison between the business and key external stakeholders, ensuring that FICO’s client engagement, relationship management, and strategic account oversight are executed at the highest level. This role is responsible for maintaining executive-level relationships, understanding the client ecosystem, and ensuring that FICO delivers value beyond its products—positioning the company as a trusted, sophisticated partner in the mortgage and capital markets space.
What You’ll Contribute
- Executive Relationship Management.
- Build and maintain senior executive relationships at core clients, particularly Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.
- Develop connections across key ecosystem players, including lenders, aggregators, and technology/system providers like ICE, Optimal Blue, Poly, and PennyMac.
- Maintain awareness of industry dynamics, key players, and political or regulatory shifts that impact client operations.
- Client Ecosystem Expertise.
- Act as the company’s primary subject matter expert on the mortgage and capital markets ecosystem.
- Be fully aware of key executives and influencers at trade associations, like the Mortgage Bankers Association (NBA), including members of boards and committees.
- Provide insights on trends, “street chatter,” and shifts in the ecosystem that may affect clients or business strategy.
- Strategic Advisory & Thought Leadership.
- Advise product management and leadership teams on client priorities, emerging trends, and potential risks.
- Ensure FICO’s initiatives and innovations are informed by client needs and ecosystem insights.
- Represent FICO as a thought leader at industry events and forums, enhancing the company’s visibility and credibility.
- Cross-Functional Coordination.
- Work closely with internal Government Relations and Product teams to provide expert perspective in client meetings.
- Act as the primary point of contact for high-level client discussions, reducing the need for senior executives to attend every meeting.
- Align internal teams on client priorities, opportunities, and feedback to ensure seamless client support.

- Multi-dimensional thinker who operates not only based on important past experiences, but in light of new approaches and developments that occur in the market.
- Extensive experience in mortgage and capital markets, ideally in a leadership role at a lender, aggregator, or central ecosystem technology provider (e.g., ICE, Optimal Blue, Poly).
- Proven track record managing executive-level relationships and navigating complex client ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of industry operations, regulations, and market dynamics.
- Ability to influence and advise without a direct sales agenda; a trusted client advisor.
- Executive presence, excellent interpersonal skills, and a temperament aligned with FICO’s culture.
- Track record of acting as a daily touchpoint for key executives and industry influencers.
- Experience providing strategic insights to internal teams to guide product development, innovation, and client engagement.

- The targeted base pay range for this role is: $225,000 to $250,000 with this range reflecting differences in candidate knowledge, skills and experience.
