Iron Mountain's Asset Lifecycle Management service is seeking a dynamic Warehouse Operator. This role involves receiving, inspecting, storing, and preparing goods for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality. Responsibilities also include inventory management, adherence to safety regulations, and equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, able to work independently, and committed to high standards of service and ethics. Must have:
  • Receive and inspect goods for damage or anomalies.
  • Verify shipment accuracy against packing lists or purchase orders.
  • Assign storage space and organize items for easy retrieval.
  • Use inventory management systems to track goods location.
  • Pick items from inventory for customer orders or shipments.
  • Safely pack items for transport and affix appropriate labels.
  • Prepare goods for outgoing shipments and coordinate with carriers.
  • Create shipping documents and load goods into delivery vehicles.
  • Conduct regular inventories and update records in real-time.
  • Implement measures to prevent and address discrepancies.
  • Inspect the quality of goods and report any issues.
  • Implement quality control measures for customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to safety rules and guidelines and ensure compliance.
  • Train warehouse staff on safety protocols and enforce them.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Perform regular equipment inspections.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse operations role or similar.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle conflicting demands and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned projects and tasks.
  • Tact and sensitivity in written and oral communication.
  • Ability to regularly lift/move 15 kg.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation requirements.
  • Demonstrate initiative and ability to work without supervision.
  • Commitment to customer and performance-focused service.
  • Adhere to high standards of ethics, conduct, integrity, and honesty.

What you will do

  • Receive shipments of goods.
  • Unload and inspect items for damage or anomalies.
  • Verify shipment accuracy against packing lists or purchase orders.
