Job Description

This co-op will be located in the Troy, NY area, with a hybrid work model based on the manager’s in-office schedule. The role is within the software engineering team, focusing on a central platform for online game features, collaborating closely with game teams to deliver essential online game functionality. Responsibilities include delivering platform improvements, enhancing API documentation, fixing software bugs, reducing technical debt, and participating in collaborative software design processes.

  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)
  • Presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and will not require work visa sponsorship

Your New Role

This co-op will be located in the Troy, NY area. The selected co-op will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the manager’s in-office schedule. We are the software engineering team that works on a central platform utilized for online game features. We work closely with game teams to deliver online game functionality necessary to launch games.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Deliver improvements to the platform that improve game developer integration experience
  • Improve API documentation
  • Fix software bugs and reduce technical debt
  • Be part of collaborative software design process

Qualifications & Experience

  • Required experience:
  • Using one programming language to create software applications (could be small!)
  • Basic command line experience (grep, ls, bash scripting)
  • Experience nice to have but not required:
  • Git
  • Python
  • MongoDB
  • ElasticSearch
  • Understanding of REST APIs
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior (18 years or older)
  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended.
  • Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.

What to know before applying:

  • The duration of the Spring 2026 co-op program is 5 months from January to May dependent on the student’s availability based on the semester schedule.
  • Co-ops will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity for the full duration of the program.
  • Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
  • A Warner Bros. Discovery team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
