Job Description

This co-op position at WB Games New York involves serving as a Technical Account Manager intern within the Central Tech team. The intern will act as a technical point of contact for development teams using WBNY's online service platforms. Key responsibilities include becoming an expert in backend service products, analyzing customer requirements, assisting with technical support, providing customer feedback to development, and supporting Live Operations during incidents. The role requires strong technical communication skills and a background in web services.
Must Have:
  • Experience building or using a REST API or other web services.
  • General understanding of game development disciplines and their inputs into online service development.
  • Aptitude for quickly learning new techniques and technologies.
  • Ability to communicate concepts, verbally and in written format, to both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Familiarity with task and bug tracking software packages (e.g. Jira).
  • Actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship.
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior (18 years or older).
  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA).
  • Presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and will not require work visa sponsorship.

WB Games Technical Account Manager Intern Co-op: Troy, NY - June-December 2026

Your New Role

This co-op will be located in the Troy, NY area. The selected co-op will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the manager’s in-office schedule.

As a Technical Account Manager intern, you will be a key member of the WB Games Central Tech team, serving as a technical point of contact for all development teams leveraging WB Games NY’s (WBNY) online service platforms.

This is a great position for someone with a strong technical background who can take that experience and feel comfortable communicating concepts, both verbally and in written format, to other developers.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Become an expert in our backend service products. Put yourself in a position to understand and confidently explain our products at a technical level to the game development engineers leveraging our products.
  • Analyze customers’ requirements and suggest existing features in our online service products to meet their requirements. This will include regularly using our online service products, digging in with the exact API endpoints being used by our customers, and using your technical background to suggest the most efficient way to integrate with our APIs.
  • Assist with challenging level-one technical support requests and issue escalations from game teams. Address all account-related queries in a timely fashion.
  • Provide internal WBNY development team with customers’ feedback to help identify potential new product features or products.
  • Provide support and game-specific implementation expertise to WBNY’s Live Operations team during live incidents to help us identify issues and recover.
  • Review and provide feedback on implementation documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience building or using a REST API or other web services.
  • General understanding of game development disciplines and their inputs into online service development.
  • Aptitude for quickly learning new techniques and technologies. Consistently provides quality support of these technologies within the expected time frame.
  • Ability to communicate concepts, verbally and in written format, to both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Familiarity with task and bug tracking software packages (e.g. Jira).
  • Performs most job-related duties with minimal supervision.
  • Takes initiative in pursuing new assignments and identify new tasks.
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior (18 years or older)
  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA) A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended.
  • Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.

What to know before applying:

  • The duration of the Summer 2026 co-op program is 6 months from June to December dependent on the student’s availability based on the semester schedule.
  • Co-ops will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity for the full duration of the program.
  • Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
  • A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
