The Wireless Software group is seeking a talented Automation Engineer with a Machine Learning background to advance wireless connectivity technologies like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. This role involves designing and implementing automated testing solutions, developing ML data pipelines for wireless product test data analysis, and providing actionable insights. You will collaborate with software, firmware, and platform development teams to drive improvements and optimizations based on ML learnings, ensuring seamless customer connections with Apple products.
Must have:

In the Wireless Software group, you’ll be responsible for bringing groundbreaking wireless connectivity to the world through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and more. You’ll design, develop, and patent the next generation of our state-of-the art connectivity technologies. You’ll collaborate across departments to help craft wireless solutions that elevate the customer experience with Apple products and services. Our goal is to ensure nothing stands in the way of our customers’ connections with their devices. If you join us, you’ll help build world-renowned wireless systems so seamless that they almost feel like magic. We are looking for a talented Automation engineer with a background in Machine Learning to join our dynamic team. You will join a diverse team responsible for qualifying the wireless features and software for the latest iPhones/iPads and Apple Watch product lines.

In this role, you are responsible for designing and implementing automated testing solutions, developing machine learning data pipelines to analyze wireless product test data and provide actionable insights. You will collaborate closely with Software/Firmware/Platform development and other cross-functional teams to drive improvement proposals and optimizations based on the ML learnings.

  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with various machine learning tools and frameworks
  • Hands on experience in implementing end-to-end machine learning projects
  • Experience in scripting, automating test work flows, tools/framework development.
  • Excellent Analytical, Problem solving and debugging skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Bachelor or Masters in Electronics & Communication engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Understanding of Hardware Product Lifecycle/Testing is a Plus.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You’ll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
