Job Description

The Workday Reporting Analyst will design and build comprehensive Workday reporting products, including advanced and matrix reports. They will respond to reporting requests, understand user needs, and implement solutions using Workday reporting tools. This includes requirements gathering, design, deployment, and ongoing enhancements. The role also involves analyzing reporting requirements, working with integration developers, developing SQL queries, managing communication on data quality, ensuring data privacy and integrity, and validating report accuracy. Experience in Workday custom report writing (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, RaaS, etc.), SQL query development, and strong knowledge of HR systems are essential.

What You'll Take On:

  • Design and build comprehensive Workday reporting products, including advanced, and matrix reports.
  • Respond to all incoming Workday HR reporting requests from across the organization.
  • Develop a strong understanding of user reporting needs and make implementation recommendations on how those reports can be developed using reporting tools. The development lifecycle includes requirements gathering, design, deployment, and on-going enhancements.
  • Analyze and consolidate reporting requirements to leverage existing reports where applicable.
  • Works with Workday integration developers to determine report design strategies.
  • Develop efficient, performant SQL queries.
  • Manage ongoing communication and awareness about the importance of data quality.
  • Ensure data privacy and integrity, review and apply Workday security, and validate creditability and accuracy of reports

What You Bring:

  • 2+ years of Workday Custom Report writing and Dashboards (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, RaaS, etc.) including the development of complex calculated fields.
  • 2+ years SQL query development experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR systems, functions, processes and advanced reporting environments.
  • Independent problem solving – ability to articulate issues across projects and the business
  • Attention to detail, strong organization skills, ability to multitask.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday security model
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Good to have:

  • Workday Pro Certification – Reporting.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and development
