As a Workforce Management Specialist, you will collaborate with VGW support teams to determine schedules and provide real-time monitoring analysis to meet the expected service level goals. You will use WFM tools and platforms, and utilize analytical and communication skills to effectuate schedule adherence to achieve optimal service delivery and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include projecting and forecasting demands using WFM systems, creating and maintaining employee schedules, managing time-off requests, monitoring and adjusting staffing levels, compiling statistics and performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in scheduling or a related field
  • Knowledge of industry-standard Workforce management systems
  • Translates functional plans into operational processes

Our Operations team in Toronto are currently looking for a Workforce Specialist.

As a Workforce Management Specialist, you will collaborate with VGW support teams to determine schedules and provide real-time monitoring analysis to meet the expected service level goals.  Through effective use of WFM tools and platforms, you will utilize strong analytical and communication skills to effectuate schedule adherence in order to achieve optimal service delivery and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Effective use of WFM systems and tools to accurately project and forecast demands.
  • Create and maintain employee schedules to ensure adequate and sufficient coverage.
  • Manage and approve/deny time-off requests, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor and adjust staffing levels to meet operational demands while controlling labor costs.
  • Compile statistics and performance metrics related to scheduling and communicate updates with Team Leads, HR and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations related to scheduling, overtime, breaks, and rest periods.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. (Or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of  experience in scheduling, project management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard Workforce management systems
  • Translates functional plans into operational processes and guides execution.  Determines resources to meet schedules and goals for objective-based assignments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
