Job Description

The Factory Support and Experience (FSX) team at Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg seeks a working student to contribute to the digitalization of its processes. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack applications (frontend and backend), writing clean and testable code, supporting data pipelines and automations, working with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions, and improving data solutions. The role involves direct contact with various departments to understand business requirements and ensure efficient operations across areas like workwear, transportation, culinary services, and waste management. This internship provides valuable experience in software development within a manufacturing environment.

German language proficiency

Must Have:

Full-stack development (frontend and backend)
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python), web frameworks (Vue/Nuxt, React, Node.js), and frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript)
Relational database querying (MySQL, MSSQL)
API knowledge (REST, GraphQL, Websockets)
Experience with Git and command line
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

What to Expect

FSX - Factory Support and Experience team is responsible for a wide range of topics which ensures that production is always possible while also providing colleagues with a great workplace experience. Among these scopes are: Workwear, Transportation, Culinary, Industrial Material Handling, and waste management among others. The FSX intern supports in digitalization of processes, making data available and accessible to members of our team for better decision making and creating apps and software solutions to have more efficient operations throughout the FSX scopes.

What You’ll Do

Design, develop and maintain products and features supporting existing Full stack applications (frontend and backend)
Write clean, maintainable and testable code, conduct software test (integration tests, acceptance tests)
Support in maintaining and monitoring existing data pipelines and automations, expanding and improving as needed
Work effectively with stakeholders to develop robust technical solutions from vague problem statements
Proactively improve processes, monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting our Data solutions
You will be in direct contact with all the shops and analysts from business departments, understanding their business requirements and translating them into technical solutions

What You’ll Bring

Currently pursuing/pursued a degree in Computer Science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent
Familiarity in one or more scripting languages (Python) and web-frameworks preferably Vue/ Nuxt, React, Node.js
Proficiency in frontend development using HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript or related front-end programming languages
Familiarity with at least one relational data querying language paradigms MySQL, MSSQL etc.
Working knowledge of various API Types (REST API, GraphQL, Websockets)
Excellent debugging, analysis, and problem-solving skills
Experience with version control (Git) and/or command line operations (bash, zsh)
Big plus experience in MS Power Platform tools (PowerApps, Power Automate)
Great advantage is working knowledge in exploratory data analysis, ML, NLP
Proactive, team and mission-oriented mindset, ability to work independently
Advanced levels in English (Business fluent) AND German major benefit
