As a QA Tester at 1047 Games, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of their games, advocating for quality standards, and collaborating with the development team to identify and resolve issues. You will be involved in testing, bug reporting, mentoring junior team members, defining and improving QA standards, and working with producers to ensure project timelines are met. You will also analyze bug tracking data to identify quality challenges and propose solutions.

Bucking convention and driven by a passion to create the ultimate gaming experience, Ian Proulx and Nicholas Bagamian founded 1047 Games in 2017 in their Stanford dorm room. Their love for arena shooters of the past drove them to create Splitgate, a unique sci-fi first-person shooter that adds portal guns to upend the genre.&nbsp;
What started as two computer science majors putting portals into a first-person shooter for a project demo has evolved into a VC-backed company which has raised more than $120MM in funding.&nbsp;

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Test the game and report finding via JIRA, reports, and by other means if needed/requested.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Help mentor newer members of the team.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Assist QA Manager with establishing QA standards, methodologies, and test strategies.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Define and improve standards for test cases and test reports.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Collaborate with our development team to identify quality issues to be achieved.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Provide support to the QA team on assigned tasks.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Help establish bug reporting workflows within each project.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Partner with producers to ensure that projects stay on schedule for planned QA phases.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Regularly communicate updates to project stakeholders.&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Use bug tracking data to analyze quality challenges and work with development team to reduce quality issues.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">5+ years of experience in the gaming industry</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">3+ years of experience with a first person shooter (FPS) project&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with major consoles and expertise with PC&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with working with Atlassian Suite&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Ability to provide clear and concise creative feedback&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Proficiency of end-to-end game QA process&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with Xray or similar test case management software&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Proficient knowledge of JIRA&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Own an up-to-date gaming PC&nbsp;</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Have sufficient and reliable internet - able to download large quantities of data each month</li>
</ul>
Nice to Have:
<ul>
<li>Knowledge on localization, functional, automated, compliance, and certification testing</li>
<li>Experience with Live Operations and games as a service from a Quality Assurance perspective</li>
