Quince is seeking an experienced 3PL Operations Manager to oversee their newly launched fulfillment warehouse in Newville, PA. This on-site role involves partnering with the 3PL provider to manage and optimize daily warehouse operations, focusing on scalable growth, accuracy, speed, and cost efficiency. The manager will be a key driver of supply chain strategy, ensuring an exceptional customer experience through effective inbound, outbound, inventory, and performance management.

Must Have:
  • Manage daily warehouse and fulfillment operations with domestic third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Monitor, analyze, and enforce service level agreements (SLAs) for order fulfillment, shipping accuracy, and on-time delivery.
  • Oversee order fulfillment efficiency, optimize carrier selection, shipping speed, and cost.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and 3PLs for smooth inbound freight flow and monitor receiving processes.
  • Work closely with internal inventory teams to manage stock levels and transfers.
  • Identify and resolve fulfillment issues such as delayed shipments, mispicks, and damaged goods.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to increase fulfillment speed and reduce costs.
  • Partner with IT and operations teams to optimize WMS, OMS, and ERP integrations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipping carriers and vendors, negotiate rates.
  • Create and maintain reports on fulfillment performance, operational efficiency, and cost control.
  • 7-10 years managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers in a high-volume ecommerce or retail environment.
  • Strong background in warehouse and fulfillment management, including inbound receiving, outbound shipping, and inventory control.
  • Deep knowledge of SLAs, KPIs, and fulfillment metrics, including shipping accuracy and on-time delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with WMS, OMS, and ERP systems.
  • Strong reporting and data analysis skills using Excel, SQL, or BI platforms.
  • Proven ability to identify, investigate, and resolve operational issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and negotiate.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

We are seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee our newly launched 3PL fulfillment warehouse in Newville, PA. This is an on-site role, where you will partner closely with our 3PL provider to manage and optimize day-to-day warehouse operations while laying the foundation for scalable growth. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading high-volume ecommerce or retail logistics, with deep expertise in warehouse management, inbound and outbound flows, and performance optimization. Success in this role means stabilizing and scaling a new facility, achieving top-tier accuracy, speed, and cost efficiency. This position is a key driver of our supply chain strategy and a critical link in delivering an exceptional customer experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee 3PL OperationsManage daily warehouse and fulfillment operations with domestic third-party logistics (3PL) providers, ensuring timely and accurate order processing across all channels.
  • Monitor SLAs & Performance MetricsTrack, analyze, and enforce service level agreements (SLAs) for order fulfillment, shipping accuracy, and on-time delivery.
  • Outbound Fulfillment Optimization & Performance ManagementOversee order fulfillment efficiency to ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping. Optimize carrier selection, shipping speed, and cost while driving improvements in on-time shipments and order accuracy.
  • Inbound & Receiving ManagementCoordinate with suppliers, carriers, and 3PLs to ensure smooth inbound freight flow. Monitor receiving processes to minimize delays, accelerate putaway, and ensure inventory accuracy upon arrival.
  • Inventory & Warehouse CoordinationWork closely with internal inventory teams to manage stock levels, minimize stockouts, and ensure accurate inventory transfers between facilities.
  • Issue Resolution & EscalationsIdentify and resolve fulfillment issues such as delayed shipments, mispicks, and damaged goods, escalating to carriers or warehouse partners as needed.
  • Process ImprovementImplement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to increase fulfillment speed, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Technology & System IntegrationPartner with IT and operations teams to optimize WMS, OMS, and ERP integrations for seamless order processing, visibility, and automation.
  • Carrier & Vendor ManagementDevelop and maintain strong relationships with shipping carriers and vendors, negotiate rates, and ensure compliance with fulfillment requirements.
  • Reporting & AnalyticsCreate and maintain reports on fulfillment performance, operational efficiency, and cost control; use data to identify trends and recommend improvements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: 7-10 years managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers in a high-volume ecommerce or retail environment, with a proven track record of improving performance, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
  • Operations Expertise: Strong background in warehouse and fulfillment management, including inbound receiving, outbound shipping, and inventory control.
  • Performance Management: Deep knowledge of SLAs, KPIs, and fulfillment metrics, including shipping accuracy and on-time delivery.
  • Systems Knowledge: Hands-on experience with WMS, OMS, and ERP systems; experience in systems integration and automation projects is highly valued.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong reporting and data analysis skills using Excel, SQL, or BI platforms.
  • Problem Solving: Proven ability to identify, investigate, and resolve operational issues such as mispicks, delays, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and cross-functional teams. Relationship management skills across vendors, carriers, and internal stakeholders.

Pay Range

$121,000 - $142,000 USD
