Job Description

PHINIA is seeking an enthusiastic, results-driven Part Time Production Operator for their Aftermarket Remanufacturing plant in Troy, MI. This role involves light assembly of fuel injectors, including tear down, cleaning, and re-assembly of injection bodies, and assisting the operations team with various production-related tasks. The operator will also monitor quality, follow production schedules, ensure 5S, utilize continuous improvement techniques, and assist with packaging and labeling. Maximum hours are up to 30 per week.
Must Have:
  • Operate machinery and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Perform light assembly of fuel injectors, including tear down, inspection, cleaning, and re-assembly of fuel-injector bodies
  • Monitor quality and report any defects or inconsistencies with the remanufactured product
  • Follow daily production schedules and meet performance targets
  • Ensure 5S of the work area
  • Utilize Kaizen and continuous improvement techniques to follow and improve current processes
  • Assist in packaging and labeling of finished goods
  • Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and compliance requirements
  • Must be comfortable working with oil
  • Physically able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods of time (ability to stand at least 85% of a shift is needed)
  • Physically able to push, pull, carry, and bend throughout the shift
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule such as: Monday through Saturday, some Sundays, all shifts

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for an enthusiastic, results-driven individual to join our growing team as a Part Time Production Operator at our Aftermarket Remanufacturing plant!

This position will support us in performing light assembly of fuel injectors, this includes: tear down, cleaning and re-assembly of injection bodies assisting the operations team with numerous production related tasks. Maximum hours up to 30 hours per week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate machinery and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Operators will perform light assembly of fuel injectors, this includes tear down, inspection, cleaning and re-assembly of fuel-injector bodies
  • Monitor quality and report any defects or inconsistencies with the remanufactured product
  • Follow daily production schedules and meet performance targets
  • Ensure 5S of the work area
  • Utilize Kaizen and continuous improvement techniques to follow and improve current processes
  • Assist in packaging and labeling of finished goods
  • Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and compliance requirements
  • Must be comfortable working with oil
  • Physically able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods of time (ability to stand at least 85% of a shift is needed)
  • In addition to lift, must be physically able to push, pull, carry, and bend throughout the shift
  • Based on customer demand, 12-hour shifts are occasionally required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule such as: Monday through Saturday, some Sundays, all shifts.
