Job Description
As a 5G/4G Physical Layer Firmware Verification and Integration Engineer, you will collaborate with a diverse team to construct firmware verification test cases and assess the end-to-end physical layer performance. Your responsibilities will encompass the design and development of validation frameworks, the creation and execution of test cases, and the debugging and analysis of issues that emerge during testing. You will be involved in automating tests for 4G/5G UEs, simulators, and gNodeBs, as well as validating crucial protocol, signal processing, and numerical algorithms within strict constraints. Furthermore, you'll contribute to the development of pre-silicon emulation systems and leverage them for firmware design and hardware verification. You'll also evaluate and integrate potent tools for build, formal verification, and testing. This role requires a strong understanding of 4G/5G technologies and a knack for problem-solving.
In this role, you will work with a team of component validation, integration, protocol test engineers, firmware developers and system engineers to build firmware verification test cases and end to end physical layer performance. You will design and develop validation frameworks for the 4G/5G firmware, as well as design, develop, and implement test cases for the 4G/5G firmware and debug and analyze issues found during testing. Our Firmware Verification and Integration Engineers build test automation of 4G/5G UEs, test simulators and test gNodeBs. You would verify key protocol, signal processing and numerical algorithms with very tight time, latency and energy budgets and work with Systems/Firmware teams to perform validation of new and existing features. You would assist in the development of pre-silicon emulation systems/virtual platforms and use them for pre-silicon firmware design and HW verification. You would also evaluate and implement powerful tools for build, formal verification and test.
