Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual for an internship in the Madrid office, joining our Consulting Team. This multidisciplinary team provides consulting services across all business lines and clients, and is a key hub for training and developing future consultants and leaders. The candidate will participate in various projects related to Mercer's Health, Wealth, and Career businesses, prioritizing actuarial projects in the Retirement area.
Must have:
  • Participate in actuarial projects for Corporate Social Welfare for national and multinational clients.
  • Collaborate on pension consulting projects: actuarial valuations of risks, design, implementation, management, and transformation of retirement plans.
  • Perform financial-actuarial reviews of Employment Pension Plans.
  • Design, valuation, and implementation of pre-retirement models.
  • Analyze actuarial risks in Mergers and Acquisitions operations.
  • Perform actuarial valuations of pension commitments and other long-term remunerations for accounting closures (local and international).
  • Address topics related to Financial Education.
  • Be a student of the Master's in Actuarial and Financial Sciences.
  • Possess an excellent level of written and spoken English.
  • Be accustomed to working in a team.
  • Demonstrate initiative and a proactive attitude.
  • Have a strong focus on client relationships.
  • Exhibit self-motivation and the ability to work well in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and an advanced Excel user.
  • Demonstrate a high sense of responsibility.

We are looking for a highly talented individual for an internship in the Madrid office, joining our Consulting Team, a multidisciplinary team whose objective is the provision of consulting services for all business lines and our clients, and the axis of training and development of our future consultants and leaders, which makes it a collective of extraordinary importance for the organization now and in the future.

In this position, the candidate will participate, along with the rest of the team, in a variety of projects related to the different businesses of Mercer, Health, Wealth, and Career, prioritizing the actuarial projects of the Retirement area.

We will count on you for:

Performing actuarial internships participating in Corporate Social Welfare projects for national and multinational clients. The person will collaborate mainly in the following pension consulting projects:

  • Actuarial valuations of actuarial risks.
  • Design, implementation, management, and transformation of retirement plans.
  • Financial-actuarial reviews of Employment Pension Plans.
  • Design, valuation, and implementation of pre-retirement models.
  • Analysis of actuarial risks in Mergers and Acquisitions operations.
  • Actuarial valuations of pension commitments and other long-term remunerations for accounting closures (local and international).
  • Topics related to Financial Education

What you need to have:

  • Education: Master's student in Actuarial and Financial Sciences
  • Excellent level of written and spoken English.
  • Used to working in a team.
  • Initiative and proactive attitude.

  • Self-motivation and the ability to work well in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
